An ongoing concern on this forum has been traffic to the Cape on the weekends. So...without further ado...here was my experience this past Saturday (July 19). I left Weymouth at 9:10 AM. For those who don't know, Weymouth is about 20 miles (minutes) south of Boston on Route 3. Went down route 3 directly to the Sagamore bridge, no significant delays until 9:50 AM where the bridge traffic hit around 1.5 miles to the bridge. 10 minutes later I was over the bridge. 20 minutes later I was on Main Street Hyannis. 20 minutes later I was floating at Craigville Beach. The water temp. this weekend on Nantucket Sound was perfect! We didn't have any delays leaving last night. We left the house about 7:00 p.m. and ran into a bit of a slow down as the sun was in everybody's eyes and then we zipped right home. Haven't driven up on a Saturday and hopefully I won't have to try it. | ||||||

NICE!!! When we leave for the Cape on 8/9 we plan on being up & outta here early. We'll hit the road before 7 (I'm optimistic), grab some breakfast & be on our way. We'll stop for lunch @ 6A Cafe in Sandwich then continue on. We'll have a couple of hours to do something (hit Cuffy's,etc) prior to checking in to the rental house. Naomi :-) | ||||||
