I am a fan of Flip This House so on my trip to Charleston we had to go try out the Crab House. I don't know how long ago it was flipped but it needs to be flipped over. The place was run down. The tables have a covering on them that is ripped the chairs are in need of painting and the bathrooms are gross. As for the food, well there was 5 of us and we all got something different. We were all disappointed very small portions and not impressive service for the price. I don't recommend this Crab House it's a tourist trap for sure.

The one on James Island. I did not go to the other locations. They have a web site charlestoncrabhouse.com. If you are going to Charleston I hope you have a fun safe trip.

I've been to the one in Mt. Pleasant and was PLEASANTLY surprised. I did not expect the selection and quality to be this good - I don't know - it seems the more "gimmicky" the place, the less confidence it exudes - but it was ok. It doesn't compare, though, to the value and quality you get at our local favorites like Long Point Grill and Locklear's and Mustard Seed.
