Good choice, Tapster, I recommended some other hotels in your other post, but I think this hotel would be a good choice.

Mequon is 10 or fifteen miles north of the Lake Express Dock (the dock is just south of Downtown Milwuakee). You could take the freeway, which is horribly torn up downtown, or you could just take the slower, but much more scenic lake route. Take I-794 from the dock over the High Rise Bridge and stay on Lincoln Memorial Drive along the lakefront until it merges with Lake drive and continue north all the way to Brown Deer Road. It is about 30 miles per hour most of the way and few stop lights. It might take about 1/2 hour from the dock to Mequon on this route. From Brown Deer Road you will have to connect with I-43 to Mequon Road, just another couple of miles. This would be a much more enjoyable route on motorcycle than taking the freeway.
