It is definitely a bit out of town. It's probably worth it just for the experience assuming you like steaks. You drive out I-10 until exit 49 (Fabens exit) then go north about 5 miles. They say 5 minutes but I think it should take longer if you go the 45 mph speed limit. If you go, expect to wait at least 30-45 minutes for a table. We swung by on our way to Big Bend April 5th. Wanted to show it to my wife since I've been talking about going out there since I was there in 76. They've added a bunch of stuff (petting zoo, lake, movie set, wedding chapels, and motel) since then. It's still as popular as ever which I guess says something about the food.
