I go to El Paso several times a year. I used to go to the YMCA on Montana and use the weights, exercise machines and pool. I have heard that they will be closing that facility. I know there are other Ys in other parts of town, but I really like staying downtown (actually, at the Budget Lodge on Mesa most recently, but their pool is dry).

I'll be in El Paso next week. Can anyone recommend another place to work out or a pool for swimming?

There's a public pool - the Armijo pool downtown, managed by Parks and Rec's. I do not know if they have a workout facility.

There's another YMCA just about a 10 min. drive north of downtown, at the end cap of a retail center on Resler and Mesa, with both facilities.

Other than that, just gyms exist 5 min. south on Mesa in the (Mesa Hills/Mesa) vicinity.

Much thanks. I assume that would be around the Armijo branch of the library, around 7th and Campbell.
