Please advise me on the best train tour to see the canadian rockies in August. Vancouver to Calgary??? Thanks for help :)

I'm pretty sure the Rocky Mountaineer is the ONLY tour on that route. Via Rail does a passenger service, but it runs through the night and on the Yellowhead route to get to Edmonton in the morning, so you miss most of the mountain scenery as a result. Rocky Mountaineer does Vancouver-Kamloops day 1, then Kamloops-Calgary day 2, so you get to see all the scenery in the daylight. Supposed to be a terrific trip.

Rocky Mountaineer has a number of Packages. Check out their website:

As said earlier, you can go from Vancouver to Kamloops, and Kamloops to Banff or Calgary, with many options.
