We are leaving to Oasis Canoa in a week, and I would like to call ahead and make a request for a room or building. Can anyone make any recommendations? My husband and I are travelling alone without the kids.

Hey K,

My hubby and I stayed there last year. I don't know the numbers of the buildings, but it really won't matter that much. None of the buildings are directly on the beach anyway, and all are close to the pool area. Very nice resort. I will warn you that the rooms are a bit dated, but very clean and have everything that you would need. We absouletly loved the Canoa,because of the staff there. (The Chocolate friends) They do a wonderful job!!! They knew us by name by the second day of our trip. Is this your first trip to DR? If so I will make a few suggestions for you. I have lots of pictures that I can share with you. Hubby and I are trying Punta Cana this year. We leave on June 12th. Let me know if you have any questions.

Yes, this is our first time in the Dominican Republic, so any tips are appreciated.

I've read that they are doing renovations at the Canoa, so I think that I will try to request a newer room.
