“Great time at Sandals Whitehouse!!!”

We just returned from a 6 night stay at the Sandals Whitehouse. Overall, we had a great time. First of all, the bus trip to and from the Sandals Whitehouse is quite an experience. It is a bit bumpy, and is a very winding road, but the drivers are so experienced that they know where every single pothole is. It was a little freaky, but overall not as bad as some people have said.

We had a great time at the Sandals Whitehouse. This was our first Sandals experience, and it was head and shoulders above any other all inclusive resort we have been to. The food was very good, we had grilled lobster tails at Arizona Bar and Grill 3 nights. It was outstanding!! We also ate at Elenoars for dinner and breakfast, both of which were very good. WE at at Bayside buffett a couple nights and a couple mornings for breakfast. Again, very good buffet for an all inclusive resort.

The service at this resort was OUTSTANDING. Everyone was very helpful and smiled and said hello every time you saw someone. Whether it was the waiters, room staff, whomever...it didnt matter. They were all awesome. Sheldon and Amber at the Arizona Grill were the best.

The beach and water were tremendous. The water was clear and calm, and the beach was being cleaned all hours of the day.

The room we booked was a luxury beachfront, but we did get a complimentary upgrade to a grand luxe beachfront. The room was nice, but not quite a 5 star room.

Overall, we had a great trip, and would recommned the Whitehouse as a great experience!!!

“Nice Vacation”

Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa

We visited Sandals Whitehouse on Nov 1-5 07 for our honeymoon. The Sandals lounge at the airport is quite nice and you get drinks and get to relax as soon as you arrive at the airport. The bus transfer to the hotel takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. Its a bumpy and long drive but its not that aweful. It was nice seeing a bit of Jamaica.

Check in was a breeze...no hassle at all. The resort itself is beautiful, well kept and the staff is really fantastic. Friendly, helpful, just wonderful.

We stayed in the Dutch Village ground floor. We personally loved being on the ground floor and found our room to be relatively big, good condition...we just had to walk out to the beach. Very cool. Minutes away from the Dutch and French Village pools as well as The Bluefield's restaurant. The Dutch Village is also very close to the tennis courts and gym. However it was about a 10 minute walk to the main pool which is in the Italian village as well as the Piazza where basically you'll find all the restaurants, cafe, piano bar and lounge.

All the pools are great, but the best pool is the main pool..its the pool with the most activities going on. The dutch pool is the smallest with no swim up bar both french and italian pools have swim up bars.

The beach are is quite long but not very wide. The water was very murky, muddy and filled with sea weeds. The water itself was very warm but it just really wasn't great for swimming in.

The food at this resort was just fantastic. They had pretty much everything on the menu including lobster. You can pretty much find lobster at Arizona's and Bayfield restaurants. The cafe is like everyone said...great and opened till 11pm.

The drinks were also wonderful....everything you could want they had and they were not watered down at all if anything they were usually very strong!!!

The nightly shows at this resort are ok. That bad but not really that great. The Disco always played really great music from 10:30pm onwards but there really was noone in the disco. Pretty much by 11pm this resort is deserted...everyone goes to their rooms..well except for the entertainment people.

I would recommend this hotel if you're not a beach lover...you're looking for some one on one time with your partner, wanting some good food and just looking to relax. If you're looking for lively daytime entertainment, activities or nightlife this is not the resort for you. REALLY!

Overall I really liked Sandals Whitehouse, the resort itself is gorgeous, the people are wonderful, the food is fantastic, the pools breathtaking, the beach is just not that great to swin in but lovely to look at:-) The resort is pretty far away from anything so forget about doing any sightseeing around town and the tours are highly priced. The gift shop is a little expensive as well.

Hopefully this review was of some help.

“Fun in the Sun”

Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa

When you go to Sandals Whitehouse you will be greeted with a scented towel and champagne by personable staff. (The trip to the resort is a bit of a thrill ride!) After that the hardest decision will be what to hit first - the sparkling white beach or the pool with a swimup bar where they will make any drink you can dream up! When hunger strikes you will be able to satisfy any craving with a wide choice of restaurants. My husband was presented with a special birthday dessert by singing waitstaff. The view from Blufields Beach Club makes a lovely lunch spot. If you want to burn off the calories from the bakery (melt in your mouth treats) try the aquatrikes for a good workout. You can jog or just stroll the beach at sunset which makes for beautiful pictures. My only regret was that we missed the chocolate buffet. (too short a trip) If you are not a late night person take a siesta so you can stay up for the entertainment.
Our overall experience was wonderful. Try Whitehouse -you will be sure to have a good time.

“A Vacation to Remember!”

Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa

My wife and I booked 7 nights at Sandals Whitehouse for October 16th-23, 2007. This was our first trip out of the country and first time to a Sandals Resort or anything similar. This resort, staff and Jamaica met and exceeded all of our expectations. I should mention we were nervous due to both of us being deaf but the Whitehouse staff especially David Smith, Director of Guest Services went all out to make our stay a special one. Communication was a challenge due to their accents but they made every effort to make sure we understood. Yes, the ride there was different but we trusted the driver and relaxed with our Bubba Kegs with Red Stripe from the Sandals Lounge at the airport. We found the resort is beautiful with well maintained grounds and facilities, rooms are large and comfortable with king beds, they have small refrigerators with sodas, juices and water in them and there are TVs with a limited number of channels but its ample for late night or early morning viewing. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful. I found myself being asked several times a day if things were going okay and if I needed anything. We tried all of the resturants except Jasimines and found the food and service to be excellent. This was lobster season as it was available and if not on the menu it could be requested. We tried the Pirate's dinner and found it to be fun but one has to move fast to get any food. The beach party dinner was a large buffet with many food options and all one could desire. At the same time local vendors were set up in the Piazza area and the prices were very reasonable for Jamaican made items. If I had any complaints it would be the lighting at night in the resturants were very low so I brought a small pocket flashlight so we could see the menu. Desserts...out of this world...and the French cafe with its pastries was awesome. There is plenty to do on the resort and options in terms of activities. The pools each seem to attact a certain type of people and range from more active at the French pool to quiet and peaceful at the Dutch and half and half at the Piazza pool. We stayed most of the time at the Piazza pool simply because it was large and more people over there to watch. They did have dance classes going on nearby in the game area and aquacise classes in the pool and many joined in for both. The French pool had volleyball games taking place in the water and on the sands nearby. The beaches are beautiful white sand which are raked each morning by the staff. I did notice sea grass in some spots but for the most part it was clear and one could see starfish and fishes in the water. Water was warm and not much in terms of waves due to the off shore coral reefs which stop the larger waves. Drinks are plentyful and available from the swim up bars in two pools and other bars around the resort or the resturants. But I was pleasantly surprised to notice that there was no wild drinking and conduct...sure people drank but they were well behaved. Noticed a few weddings taking place and the set ups were beautiful with flowers, lace and other decorations. Most were on the beach with one taking place in front of one of the buildings. We did not avail ourselves of the Spa but others told us it was very good. Have to try it next time! For me Whitehouse set a very high bar for a resort and one that I am most impressed with. I definitely want to return!

“Fantastic Stay”

We stayed at the Sandals Whitehouse in late October and had an absolutely fantastic time!

Trip from Montego Bay to the resort - very interesting ride. Lets you see the country side in a way most probably won't unless you go to this specific resort. There is nothing scarey about it... its just the
way the Jamaicans drive! No problems, Mon!

The resort - very nice! It was not real crowded, maybe 1/3 full. That probably made the stay more enjoyable. No waits to eat - drink - use the watersports.

Food - Top rate! Never had a meal or snack that was anything less than
outstanding!

Drinks - I would have enjoyed a better "top shelf" selection of alcohol, but given the setting and the fact its all inclusive, just ask for a double! The waiters are very happy to oblige.

My only complaint was the reception at the scuba operation. Not very friendly or accommodating. it was like I was bothering them when I inquired about the diving. The glass bottom boat trip was nothing more
than a boat ride, as the trip takes you to a dead reef with no fish or
color.

I highly reccomend this resort to anyone wanting a peaceful and relaxing getaway!
