“Wonderful for car lovers!”

Being a fan of Japanese automobiles, I wanted to see as much to do with them as possible while in Tokyo. The best place to start is the Toyota Mega Web in Odaiba. The best part is there is no admission price. Here you will find a nice collection on Toyota, Lexus, and Daihatsu cars with other entertaining attractions like electric car rides. The main building has several prototype cars, along with some modern race cars. The History Garage was a bit harder to find, and isn't attached to the main venue. This is the place to find classic cars (not just Toyotas) from Japan and Europe, along with a few more race cars. Well worth you time to walk through the Mega Web, especially if you love cars, and especially since it is free.

My family and I visited Toyota Mega Web last week and ended up spending all afternoon there! This place is huge! If you are a Toyota enthusiast or just enjoy cars this place is for you!

All displays include English translations and most staff can speak a little Enlish. They also have English brochures available.

All of Toyota's cars are displayed here....but you can do more than just LOOK....you can actually get in the cars and open the hoods if you'd like!

There are several things for the chidren to do...My son is 9 and he was enthralled the whole time. There is a racing simulator theatre (very tame compared to American simulators)....but entertaining nevertheless. There are several hands on activities for the kids to explore. They also have a "hybrid" (pedal and electric) car that kids can take for two spins around a track for free. For adults (and kids too) they also have a track where an electric car literally "drives YOU" on a 7 minute drive around the whole facility! This activity is 200yen.

Overall this is a cool place to hang out if you love cars! And best of all....most of it is absolutely FREE....!
