Just returned from a week at the Golf Villas (Divi Links) with my husband and two girls, 12 and 9. We had a fabulous time at this resort. We had family staying at the Mariott Stellaris and some friends at the Mariott Surf Club and I felt our resort was far better than the both of these. If you want a crowded pool and lots of activities planned each day then the Golf Villas are not for you. The pool area is tranquil and the huge slide kept the kids entertained. There isn't a push for fun and games and you are never bothered by anyone to do anything. The beach was a golf cart away (this is how you travel about the resort) and was absolutely beautiful. Once again, no crowds, The beach area at the Mariott was roped off to limit swimmers. The water was not nearly as clear down there due to all the water activities. The golf cart will take you close to the supermarket where we loaded up with groceries for breakfast and snacks. The one bedroom suite we had was spacious and clean and our balcony overlooked the pool. We also had access to the hot tub on the roof. The kitchen was fully equipped and the washer and dryer were a plus. We didn't rent a car at first, but did so after 3 days of taxi rides and bus fares adding up. The trip to and from the high rise hotels (where a lot of restaurants and casinos were) was $20 roundtrip including tip. We ended up renting a car for $30 a day (Hertz is on the property) and had more flexibility. The restaurants were excellent yet pricey. We enjoyed Blossoms (Japanese Hibatchi) at the Westin, The Palms (at the Hyatt), El Gaucho (great steaks!), La Scala and Mulligans on the property was good as well. I wouldn't bother with the Tamijrn across the street. It is an all inclusive and you had to buy coupons to eat there. The people are very accomodating and the island is beautiful. We snorkeled at Baby Beach and did Jolly Pirates which was a ton of fun. I highly recommend this Divi.

“Didn't enjoy the golf course”

Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort

I did not stay at this property, but I did play golf here. They charged $70 (US) for 9 holes plus $25 to rent clubs. Way overpriced and not an enjoyable round. They had workers on every hole and one guy was spraying fertilizer on the greens while we were putting. I complained in the clubhouse at the end of the round and the desk attendant pointed at the manager who was in there and heard what I said - he turned and left immediately without even acknowledging me. I would not recommend golf at this place.

“Love the Divi Village”

I went to Aruba for the first time this past week, I have been reading a lot of reviews from people who went recently. I have to say I absolutely loved it , loved it so much I bought a time share at the place we stayed. Although it was under construction while we were there, we still had a great time. The Divi Village golf resort was beautiful and the staff were excellent. I have never been out of the country before and this was quite an experience for me, I have NOTHING bad to say about Aruba. The wind is beautiful and much needed. The beaches are gorgeous! Can't wait to go back in October...

“If you don't own a timeshare at the golf course, don't go”

We stayed in ta front unit (not the the section where the golf course is). The place is getting really run down. Seems they are spending all their money and effort on maintaining the new units. Our room was filthy when we checked in. The floors had not been swept or washed. The toilet had a distinctive ring in it. The dishes had food stains.

“Paradise in Aruba”

Divi Beach & Golf Resort is a wonderful place to vacation. This part of the Divi property is the newest and is great! The rooms have wonderful amenities....jacuzzi tub, nice kitchen, flat screen TV, two porches overlooking a magnificent pool. The pool has a rock waterfall, a water slide, a small bridge that goes across the water, infinity pool at one end, swim up bar. You name it...this place has it. Also, every two units has an outside hot tub on the top floor (third floor). There are lounge chairs up there and also a grill. They have golf carts that will take you every where on the Divi property, also the casino. The people are warm and friendly. Check out the Ocean View bar....excellent place.
