“Loved Aruba & The Marriott”

Marriott Aruba Resort & Stellaris Casino

My fiancé and I stayed at the Marriott Resort for 4 nights, May 29-June 2 and we loved it. It was our first time in Aruba. I would say that the hotel is a 4 star hotel. We had actually wanted to stay at the Hyatt, but we were able to get a really great deal at the Marriott. The Hyatt is definitely nicer and we would love to go back and stay there, but it’s really expensive and now that the Marriott is renovated, in my opinion it doesn’t pay to spend hundreds more at the Hyatt.

Positives:
-Beautiful, newly renovated rooms and lobby
-Awesome beach area
-Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse

Negatives:
-Our room was on the 2nd floor right above the lobby and it was very noisy. We actually had to call downstairs to the front desk one night because the noise was keeping us awake. I would definitely stay as high up and as far away as possible from the lobby next time.

-Overpriced, just ok food at the outdoor lunch restaurant.

We definitely can’t wait to go back. The beach in Aruba was great and we loved the food. Favorite restaurants – Madame Janette’s and El Gaucho. We would definitely stay at the Marriott again…on a high floor.

“Don't let the renovation frighten you---Great stay!”

Marriott Aruba Resort & Stellaris Casino

I'll start by saying we got a great deal on this stay through Priceline and it was worth every penny.

Pros:

Room - Brand new, large bathrooms, walkin closets, nice sized balcony.

Casino - Our favorite in Aruba (and largest)

Pool - Very nice and good happy hour (3pm to 5pm)

Beach - On the nicest section in Palm Beach and they provide nice huts (no cost)

Lobby - Renovation with nice cafe, bar, and great Gelato!

Cons:

Distance to city center/airport - It is the furtherest resort north

Timeshare sales - They will call you at check-in and try to get you to come down and hear the sales pitch...they aren't crazy pushy...but it was just a little annoying

Hallway noise - Can get loud during the day (if you want to sleep in)

Overall, I'd stay there again in a heatbeat.

“Marriott was perfect for 4 day stay”

Marriott Aruba Resort & Stellaris Casino

Exactly what I would expect from a Marriott, comfortable and accomodating. Everything with our stay went well and the room was decent.

**Bring a Float for the Ocean!

Get out to the huts on the beach around 7:30am for reservations of the ocean side huts.

The North tower is undergoing renovations right now but you hardly notice it. The swim up bar is very nice and the bartenders are quite entertaining.

The food outside was good, service ok, beware of the iguanas they come right up to you. I even saw one eat a french fry. I ate my entire meal with my feet up.

Just layed on the beach most days with the exception of one. Did an ATV tour of the NAtural Pools and Natural Bridge=very fun!

Party/Booze cruise wednesday night on the "TATTOO" boat...would definitely do this again!

“Wonderful experience at the Marriott”

Marriott Aruba Resort & Stellaris Casino

Having been to Aruba 15 years ago staying at a hotel that will remain unmentioned - this vacation surpassed my expectations in all ways. This hotel is gorgeous, the staff is incredibly friendly, there is no shortage of places to eat, and the pool and beach are impeccably maintained. I had one minor problem that was quickly addressed and fixed (wrong view). There is construction going on (north wing - so ask to stay in the middle of the hotel so you will not face the construction) - however noise was minimal. Place is a bit pricey, but coming from NY - nothing that really floored me (except the $5/bag potato chips that usually = 99 cents). Have your cab driver make a stop at a supermarket/grocery store and stock up on cereal/milk/box juices/snacks, etc. to save some $ as the cost of food is quite high here. Overall, the Aruba Marriott Stellaris is wonderful place that I will definitely be returning to (got a package from Jet Blue - no other way to fly, trust me...)

    • Disliked — prices of food - not much else to do at night but gamble but the casino was fun - needs a disco/comedy club

“Amazing honeymoon, loved this resort!”

Marriott Aruba Resort & Stellaris Casino

5 of 5 stars
Palm Beach, Florida

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely delightful. Excellent location at the end of the high-rise hotel strip and on an picturesque beach, we had such a great time.

The hotel staff was very very nice, accomodating and thorough. Anything we asked for was taken care of immediately. We had a faulty drain in the tub that wouldn't work, the maintenence guy was up in less than 5 minutes to replace it. The housekeeping staff was so nice and personal and kept our room sparkling, and didn't move all our stuff around.

The food around the resort is sumptuous, but very expensive. The only inconvenenience is there is no place nearby to get a low-cost meal, which can be annoying if you're not a big spender or have a large family. The casino was great too, and the largest one in Aruba, very Vegas like.

The renovation construction didn't bother us one bit! It was actually nice because one whole tower was closed and made it much less crowded than normal. The finishings were so modern, so sleek and so nice. The atmosphere was very nice, and a great mix of people: lots of honeymooners, families, groups of friends, etc... Everyone got along fine!

The hotel is rather open air, so if there is a lot of noise in lobby you can hear it in your room, which can be annoying if you're trying to get to bed early and theres a wedding or something. Can get loud.

All in all, we had an excellent experience at this resort and it's totally worth a stay, especially now that it's freshy renovated. It's like a brand new hotel, very very nice!!
