“A little gem in historic St. Georges”
I have been to Bermuda over 20 times since 90 and love this gem. We are repeaters at The Reefs which is an excellent property with an excellent price tag. Our cousin was in St. Georges in the East End with his yacht so we decided to fly and meet him after his single handed journey. It was a last minute treat. Aunt Nea's was the obvious choice since St. Georges Club wanted over 500.00 USD a night. We paid a little over 200.00 a night with tax. Our taxi navigated the narrow historic streets arriving to be met by Rachael, the lovely Guyanese head of housekeeping. She brought our group (my Mom and child) to a comfortably sized room with two queen beds. It was equipped with armour holding a tv and stereo, dining set, two large beds which would later reveal crisp linens and a shower and bath. Upon closer inspection we found the carpet to be terribly soiled and many little areas showing this room needed some overall cleaning and upkeep. The AC worked very well but was a noisy window unit. A wonderful continental breakfast was included which featured cereals, breads, p. butter and jam, teas, coffee and the last day, fresh fruit. I had asked for a blender to make my protein shakes and was obliged the end of the second day. It was a welcome treat and a nice courtesy albeit it not available on arrival. The only complaint was a French family was in house during our stay and the portly Grammy took most of the muffins and bread each morning AFTER her family ate. She was seen on several occasions holding napkins full of breads for the day? One had to beat her to it before she hoarded it all. Rather funny. The house has a resident Corgi, Sky who is a lovey and a sweet cat. The grounds in front are lovely with rosmary hedges and blossoming flora. The back is a mess with a decrepid clothesline and old junk lying about. We slept well in our little room but didn't feel comfy walking about with the soiled carpet so we donned flip flops and were fine. The Inn has Wi Fi which worked sporadically. Andrea and Delaey, the young owners were kind enough to help me get it working. Delaey was a charming host who gave me a site inspection since I am a travel agent. I was so surprised to see the other rooms..AMAZING, clean and MUCH better than mine. I have NO hestitation recommending the rooms aside from ours. We loved Aunt Neas and will return
