“Beautiful, peaceful and welcoming!”

Fourways Inn

My partner and I stayed at the Fourways for 6 nights in August while attending a friends wedding.
Upon arriving we were greeted by Alex the manager who informed us that there had been a small problem with our booking. They had not realised that we were a couple and so had given us single beds instead of a double. Upon realising they immediately upgraded us to a suite and could not do enough to help.
The rooms are in traditional style, clean, spacious and very comfortable. We had a large terrace and were very close to the pool that was usually deserted apart from my partner and I!
The breakfasts every morning were wonderful and the fact that you can choose when to have it delivered was a nice touch.
Some people hire mopeds when they travel to Bermuda and if you are a beach lover then you may want to do this although the beaches are not far away. My partner and I travelled by taxis which are very reasonable and usually easy to call.
All in all we had a wonderful stay and would recommend the Fourways and their wonderful staff.

“A nice, charming inn”

Fourways Inn

Okay, so I heard both positives and negatives about this inn before arriving. And that describes the Fourways perfectly- both positives and negatives. My husband and I spent one week there with our 2 teenagers. We took a whole cottage and there was plenty of space, comfortable beds, flat screen TV's in 2 rooms, clean furnishings. The pool was glorious and we literally had it to ourselves. The grocery store was within walking distance, but how much cooking can you do in a kitchenette without a sink or stovetop? A microwave, small refrigerator and dishes were supplied. Walking distance to the ferry into Hamilton, which was wonderful and inexpensive. Dinner at the inn was quite pricey, but the food is amazing. The best souffle I've ever had. All of the employees were quick to please and Alex is quite an accomodating fella. The negatives- the place is a bit run down. Could definitely use some sprucing up. Also, there is absolutely no room service or any other kind of service during the day. If you want a drink or snack poolside, you must do it yourself!! Sometimes, we had a hard time finding someone to help us with questions... It definitely seemed to me that the restaurant was their focus and the inn was a second thought.

“The Fours Ways & Staff is fantastic”

Fourways Inn

5 of 5 stars
Annapolis, MD

4/4 found this review helpful

We have now stayed at the Fourways twice. We believe there is no more perfect place on the Island. The Charm can simply not be duplicated. The Four Ways is not a "convention machine" with people coming and going. If you want that, go to the South Hampton. The Four Ways is about enjoying the Island. The breakfast comes on time and is perfect. Fresh rolls and fruit. All of the public beaches can be reached via Scooter within minutes. Typically the beaches were empty and as such you felt like the Island was yours. The Four Ways does offer a private beach through the Cocco Reefs but why be surrounded by people when you want to enjoy the Island life. After enjoying the sun and water, head back to the Four Ways for Dinner.

We cannot say any STRONGER THAT THE FOOD IS THE BEST YOU WILL EVER HAVE. The wine list is fantastic but even better is the setting and the staff. Alex's makes you feel that you are special. If he is not watching over, the rest of the staff will.

We cannot recommend any more strongly about the Four Ways. Yes, the rooms are not perfect but the Charm certainly is.

“Weekend at the Fourways”

Fourways Inn

5 of 5 stars
Stirling

Just back from a long weekend break on Bermuda staying in the cottage colony at the Fourways. Accomodation was spacious and comfortable - room had ceiling fan, a/c, twin sinks, super balcony overlooking the pool and bags of space for the two of us. Bed was very comfortable.

Colony is in the grounds of the restaurant (about 60m away). Breakfast was a delight with fresh pastries and a fabulous chilled fruit plate. Eaten at 8 am on our balcony, sitting in the provided robes and soaking up the sunshine definitely matched our view of a paradise island.

Restaurant was magnificent ! We had a blow out dinner on the Saturday and then came back for the spectacular excess of brunch on the Sunday. Fine dining all the way. Note that evening attire is generally smart - although a collared shirt is the quoted minimum, most gents were jacket and tied. The air con was a bit fierce, so a jacket was no problem, but the ladies may need to consider something alongside the summer frock ! Food and drink was faultless.

Staff were equally good, friendly and polite. A particular mention for Mimi who couldn't do enough for us. A definition of a warm welcome.

We walked to most places - south side beaches (the Fourways has a deal to allow you to use the Coco Reef Hotel at around 30 mins walk), the botanical gardens along the railway trail (about 45 mins), and the ferry point at Darrells landing (about 6 mins away) from where you can hop across to Hamilton.

All in all a very memorable trip.

“The Inn is much worse than the Restaurant”

Fourways Inn

Jun 5, 2007
7/7 found this review helpful

I have been visiting Bermuda since 1994, and loved, loved, LOVED visiting the delicious restaurant. So, when I decided to take my bride to Bermuda for the first time for our honeymoon, I thought the Four Ways Cottages would be a good bet. THEY WEREN'T! The rooms are dated (80's accommodations), dingy, and our bathroom was FULL OF ANTS. They promised a ride from the airport and never showed, and when I complained about the ants in the room, they said to "wait and they'd go away." No change in rooms. Nothing. The "king bed" that was promised was only two twin beds, pushed together. Also, the "fresh water pool" was filled with salt water.

Thank goodness the Southampton Princess (run by Fairmont) had rooms available. We switched and had a GREAT honeymoon from there on.

The Four Ways must have once been great, but they really let me down. It needs a huge makeover to deserve a four star rating...especially on Bermuda.
