My husband and I spent two nights at the Wharf towards the end of our Bermuda vacation. The small hotel sits right on the bay facing Hamilton and the views are impressive. The hotel also sits steps away from the Darrell's Wharf ferry, and you can pay 2.50 US to get into town, right on Front street close to some amazing restaurants and shopping. Considering the high cost of taxis and the fact that tourists cannot rent cars (you'll see why), the proximity to the ferry is very convenient. You really cannot hike along the roads in Bermuda without some danger- and we did not feel confortable about moped rental, so the ferry system was perfect. You can get to St. George and the Royal Dockyard on the ferry as well.
The downside to all of this was that by US standards, the room though clean, was not tended to correctly. We found someone elses toothbrush in one of the dresser drawers, and the tv and one of the phones had been disconnected- someone had also left a supply of herbaloss weight loss products in the kitchenette pantry. The patio door lock was like a rubicks cube... we had to ask for help several times to get it opened and shut.
The room was spacious but I did not sleep well in the bed, and found myself needing a nap during the day. The staff was friendly and we had a safe in the room- continental breakfast in a nice sitting room was a plus, with the neatest coffee machine I have ever used. The Wharf is a good value in Bermuda- not perfect though, so assess your needs and proceed accordingly.
