As experienced divers, we let Blue Water know that we wanted to have an interesting dive. Since we only were diving one day on this trip, we brought only our masks, computers and .5 mil. When we arrived at their Somerset Bridge location, we were immediately treated like cattle, told to wait to get forms, fill them out quickly, and pick up some of the tiredest rental equipment I have ever used. The bc's and regs were beat, and the fins as floppy as a flag. Not a good sign. When they divided the very large group up, they ignored our experience level, and put us on a boat with a group of 6 or so young divers (starting at 11 years old) doing their open water certification and mostly other novices: twenty divers in all. The first dive was at the Blue Hole, a 30 foot sandy patch so the class could complete their instruction. Boring, with very little to see. And at that they rushed us out of the water in 45 minutes. The second dive was a reverse profile on a small ferry, at about 50 feet. They dropped everyone in, the novices kicked up a sand cloud, and that was that. Again, they banged on the ladder after 40 minutes to get everyone out as quickly as possible.
When we got back to shore, the next group was waiting to board. This was an operation run to push as many people through as quickly as possible at the maximum price. A real disappointment.
In sharp contract, snorkeling at our resort revealed healthy reefs, abundant marine life, and clear water.
I would never dive with this organization again, and I would urge any experienced diver to avoid these cattle boats.
