We have just returned from a 2 week honeymoon at Limestone. It really is a very nice place to stay, it's small and family run so there's none of the anonymity of a big faceless resort. It's in a lovely part of the island, Spanish Water, with lots of world-travelling yachts anchored offshore to look at.
the nearest restaurant, The Boathouse, is excellent, it's within 5 mins walk and we went back there several times. Limestone is about 30 mins drive from the city, but there are several places to eat between Spanish Water and the city - get hold of the (free) Big Red Restaurant
guide, and it's packed with great suggestions.
So, any downsides? The apartment we had was quite small, just one bedroom. I had expected a separate sitting room, but instead it was more like a studio than an apartment, so if you specifically want a seperate sitting area I suggest you ask for it. We had a TV and DVD player, for example, but nowhere comfortable to sit and watch it except on our bed.
the only other thing I would have liked is some toiletries - there wasn't even soap in the bathroom. I knew we weren't renting a luxury place, but ..... this type of small luxury would be nice :)
Overall, however, I would totally recommend the place. The owners are very helpful and friendly, the place is clean and safe and very pleasant. The car rental was great, and very good value. Great view over the water, not too many mosquitoes (our bed had a net, and once we used it we didn't get bitten at all). Great place for a getaway or a family holiday.
