We loved our three night stay here, and were made very welcome by Tia, who built the cottages, and his cousin, Joan, who runs the place with style. The bamboo cottages are set in a beautiful garden going down to the stream and you really feel a part of nature. You go to sleep to the sounds of the forest and rushing water, and breakfast watching the banana quits (pretty yellow breasted birds) battling it out to eat from Joan's bird feeder. You only have a cold water tap and shower (no towels either), but who needs more if you have a choice of three naturally warm pools in which to bathe - each a different temperature so you can choose just how hot you want your water. Afterwards you can relax in your hammock. Dinner consists of large platefuls of delicious local produce, and is even better when washed down by a glass of Joan's home-made Bullet rum punch. If you are looking for simple, friendly accommodation that is a bit different to anything you will find elsewhere, this is the place for you. If you need internet access, room service, glass in your windows and an extensive menu, then you may prefer to leave it to others who will appreciate it properly!
(Joan also runs Le Petit Paradis, just up the road, which we are sure would be equally nice, but we didn't experience it first hand.)
