I wish there was a negative option for ranking this excuse for a hotel. I would like to rank it a negative 20!!!!! I have stayed in hotels across the world, a different hotel monthly for the past 5 years. First, the check in process is LONG. Don't plan on making meetings or anything and allot an hour for check in. The individuals at the desk are rude, they answered probably 10 different phone calls while I was trying to check in. They also don't give you the rooms you have reserved. I had a king bed non-smoking and I was given a smoking king and the desk clerk didn't even tell me. Then I was given a double non smoking and finally the third time I was given a king non smoking. Horrible lengthy check in process should sum it up. Second, the rooms are absolutely disgusting. They are infested with spiders, ants, mosquitos and everything else you can think . The rooms are not clean. BRING SHOWER SHOES!!!! To sum up the rooms situation (if you are able to get the room you reserved in the first place. I wasn't able to do this) they are disgusting, dirty and you have to wear bug spray to sleep at night. Third, if you are traveling for business reserve a tower room not the garden rooms (and good luck if you actually get it) otherwise you will be kept up all night by the wildlife chipping and the drunks, protestutes, bands etc on the pool patio. Fourth, the restaurants are average. The Palm has decent food however the service is SLOW, you will not be able to get dinner in less than 2 hours. The Japan restuarant is very average however again, the wait staff is SPECIAL and extremely slow. The food is also extremely EXPENSIVE!!!!

Overall, don't stay here unless you like bug bites, lack of sleep, and overpaying for CRAP.

This is not an awful hotel, but it is well below the standards you would expect for a Hilton or for the prices charged. It needs a good clean, a thorough rennovation and a staffing shake-up.

Service is indeed friendly, but sometimes chaotic. It could take 25 mins to be seated at the buffet breakfast, as even though many tables were empty nobody seemed to be clearing them. There are issues at reception: they made mistakes in most of the personal details they had to record for me, including my name, gender etc. And it took repeated calls to get a response on a couple of simple queries.

The rooms are fine but a little run down, with dirty carpets and (in my case) a single giant cockroach.

The poolside entertainment is difficult to escape from if you're not participating, as the loudspeakers blare until at least 10 pm most nights. So request a high-up room, particularly if you're there on a Friday, as Karaoke Night can be painful.

Facilities are better than at the other options nearby in New Kingston, and there are more restaurants. But prices are high and everything possible invokes an extra charge - the gym, internet, even energy.

I stayed there for 4 days and it wasn't that bad. A little below average for a Hilton but the vibes of the hotel makes it all good.
If you like a hotel that's lively in the heart of the centre, than this place is the number one place to be.

Lobby and receive was very nice but the room on the ground floor dissapointed me. The rooms really need a renovatin.

Never had dinner there, cause I guessed it would be too expensive for that quality. Ate everyday outside.

I really enjoyed sitting at the poolbar, drinking cocktails with friends. Never knew that those local beautiful ladies were prostitutes, but now if I think about it...it all seem to fall in place.
But hey, that's Kingston..)

Stayed for one night at the Hilton in Jamaica. One night too many. The staff seemed put off by requests that were out of the ordinary. The pool area at night turns into a brothel with all the prostitutes hanging around, and the rooms were disgusting. I'd hate to see the rooms with a blacklight.
