We stayed there for only one night...and for that one night we got our room broken into and got robbed of money and a digital camera. But to add insult to injury...when we reported it to the hotel management, we were treated with flagrant disregard until we had to make some noise to get their attention. It was only after 2 hours of waiting for the manager to speak with us and an additional hour before they reported it to the police, who ironically we found out were stationed about 500ft from the hotel, that we just decided that nothing productive was coming out of the situation and just left with the loss and insult.
Jamaica is beautiful place...but places like Blue Harbour Hotel give it a bad reputation. My advice...choose any other hotel than Blue Harbour hotel, its a very unprofessional place...again...DO NOT GO TO BLUE HARBOUR HOTEL.

First of all this hotel is very low class and poorly maintained. Well the situation that occured which had me very upset had occured a few times in the past. So one has to wonder if they are running a scam. What happened was this, someone came into our room which was locked and stole a camera and all our money. we reported it to the front desk but they did not call the police and said that we had to wait for the manager. We waited for practically 2 hrs which then they called the police. I doubt they are real cops because they had no ID or Badge, just people in plain clothes. Well there was not much done and all the manager could say was that he was sorry for the inconvenience. We got no compensation, no refund, nothing. So again i think this hotel is running a scam. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SO CALLED HOTEL.

I'm writting this reveiw late, but I decided that I just had to write this. This hotel looks nothing like the pictures. It is old and raggedy. The pool is muddy, and looks like it's only cleaned once a year.

I arrived at the Blue Harbor(should be renamed Brown Harbor, for its resemblance to what goes in toleits) on Sept 1,2004, and was immediately turned off. I wasn't looking to stay at the Ritz, but this was way worse than what was acceptable to me to spend 8 days of vacation on.

Words can not adequately describe the true disgust that I have for this place. I will tell you that it was so bad that I decided to deal with the 2 day penalty and leave there with nowhere to go, and just had a cabbie drive me up and down the strip until i found another place more suiting to my need.

Please DO NOT waste your money or time. Jamaica is a great place, and no matter how long you are there, there isn't enough time to enjoy it all.

Hi, my name is Mario Gracia, I live in Houston, TX. I went to Montego bay last thanksgiving, I stayed at the Blue Harbor hotel and I had the best time ever. Not only the hotel staff helped me book tours and dinner but they also made me feel at home, specially if you go by yourself. I wasn't sure how the hotel really was, so i did a research and started reading different reviews and I foung more bad and good but I took the chance and let me tell you it was great. At my arrival I saw some lizards everywhere and bats flying around but I never saw them again, I guess that's normal over there. My room was really nice and clean, they also provided me roundtrip transportation to doctors cave beach which I loved, it's the best clear water I've ever seen, believe me, if you go there you will love it.
