I stayed at Toby Resort my boyfriend and I for 8 days and had the best time. Brett our server was the best in the world, the housekeeper Mr. Kiddy was also the sweetest man. He always checked to make sure everything was ok and just made the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. The grounds were clean and very safe. Our room was kept clean everyday and the size of the room was perfect with the accent being the large patio, which we loved. The pool bar staff and front desk staff were also very friendly. The food was great in our opinon loved the french toast. The resort is at the end of the hip strip out of the way from the hustle and bustle but close enough to everything that was going on. I would definatley recommend this resort. Toby's we loved your hotel and staff and will be back for sure next April. Katonya and Kirby

I stayed here one night during my Jamaica visit. This hotel is closer to motel status. It is good for budget accomodations. The food at the restaurant was edible, but not memorable. The hotel staff were friendly enough. The rooms were O.K., the window unit AC worked well. I would stay here again if I was not planning on spending much time at the hotel. The rooms should be updated.

A nice enough budget choice for one night. We wouldn't normally choose to stay in Montego Bay but we needed to be close to the airport for our last night and had a problem with our accommodation in Falmouth (Time n' Place)

The rooms are standard and comfortable and clean and there are 2 pools and an OK restaurant.

We'd stay there again if we needed to spend a night in Mobay.

My husband and I, with a friend, stayed at Toby's for one night on either end of a trip to Port Antonio, for a total of two nights. We stayed in standard rooms one night and deluxe the next. The rooms were clean, spacious and had nice furniture; bathroom, lighting and hardware fixtures were out of date but functional. The standard room we were in had a nice balcony that faced the road, with trees between, and a smaller bathroom. The deluxe room had sliding doors to a private patio, a small fridge, and was close to the pool. The front office is attractive and the desk staff was very friendly. The grounds are very pleasant, and the swimming pool area simple but quite nice, with a bar that closes early in the evening. The location is literally three minutes drive from the airport, but we only heard a plane once. In fact, if so inclined, one could walk to the airport without too much trouble! Overall, the place was quiet; no throbbing music whatsoever and the guests we saw were not too spring-breaky. The location is about ten minutes walk to Doctor's Cave Beach and less than five minutes walk from a number of bars and restaurants. There is no view of the ocean at all anywhere on the grounds.

My only real complaint with the place was the restaurant. The restaurant's space is reasonably nice, with indoor and outdoor seating and a small bar; the food was awful and overpriced. Jamaicans seem to have high standards for quality of food, so this surprised us. The restaurant staff was kind of cranky. We had breakfast one day, and appetizers another day. I recommend eating outside the hotel for all snacks and meals. However, the cocktails were fine!
