I don't believe I would care to stay more than two nights as Toby's is a very basic motel, but has a great pool! If you are strictly the resort type, do not stay here as you will hate it and will give the rest of us a bad reputation. If you can handle a little adventure, this is the place for you. The staff tries very hard to make sure you are comfortable. We choose this location for the price and accessibility to the airport. As our flight was at 7:30a.m. and we needed to be there 2 hrs prior, we had our transfer from Negril scheduled to take us to MBJ in the a.m. the day before our flight and drop us at Toby's. We arranged w/the driver to pick us up at 5:30 the next morning. He charged $20 plus tip to take the 10 of us to the airport in his nice van. He had asked us to call him at 5a.m. to reconfirm, but the desk is not open then, so fortunately the guard was just letting someone in who was somehow associated w/Toby's and he called the driver w/his cell. The phone in your room doesn't work w/o the desk's help, so just make firm arrangement's the day before. We didn't make it to the beach, but I believe it was just across the street. The Hip Strip is just a bunch of souvenir vendors and way over priced compared to Negril. The regular stores were the same prices or better than the alley and the stores expect to bargin also. It was even hotter in MBJ but a strong breeze. The top floor of Margaritaville was refreshing for lunch. Pizza at the Bobsled restaurant was really good.
