I stayed here with my boyfriend from March 17 to March 21. I have gone to the islands many times, and I've been to Jamaica three times, and this was without a doubt the prettiest and most romantic place I have ever stayed. I would recommend it to almost anyone, except people looking for a typical loud drunken spring break experience. There are plenty of opportunities to get drunk, but this place is much more laid-back and could not be further removed from the whole frat-party spring break scene. My only disappointment was that I was so excited for the water sports, but they were unavailable due to the weather (but that's not really in the hotel's control at all).
Property- The property is breathtaking. The hills make this property so scenic. It's a little bit of a hike to get around, and climbing the hills can be pretty tiresome after a day of drinking, but the views make it worth it. I particularly loved the hammocks placed around picturesque parts of the property.
Room- Pretty spacious. We stayed in a suite on G block. The view from my balcony of the ocean, mountains, and trees was astonishing. Both the living room and the bedroom have flat screens with a lot of American channels available.
Food- So much better than any other all-inclusive I have ever been to. I liked the omelets at the french restaurant for breakfast, either the buffet at the french restaurant or the jerk chicken on the beach for lunch, and Cassanova for dinner. I also liked the room service food- the BLT and the fillet were both surprisingly good.
Bars- All the bars were good. Some people complained of slow service, but I didn't mind. Try Easton's dirty bananas if you can.
Recommendations- Do the couples massage in one of the huts. So peaceful! Also, bring bug spray (I got a little eaten up).

We booked a Secret Rendez-vous stay for our wedding anniversary. We didn't expect Sans Souci - which seems to be the only 5 stars of the Couples' resorts-, so we were very excited to be located there. However, it wasn't a five star experience (maybe a 4 at the most). So if you expect excellence, try something else.

The room was clean (but not impecable clean), had a plasma tv, a safe and a king bed. In the balcony we had a small fridge, a mini-bar, and a table plus 2 chairs. However, we didn't have a full bathroom (we only had a rain-shower with no bathtub or curtain), which was a bit of dissapointment. The pressure was not always high, so sometimes we had troubles having a regular shower.

The food was far from being excellent (except for the cakes, that were awesome!): sometimes (very few times) was very good, but most of the times the meat was overcooked (somehow I understand why - my husband had a food poisoning from the outside cooked pasta because they used raw meat which had been left outside in the heat ...). The wine was ok, but the wine temperature was not adequate (they clearly didn't know how to deal with the wine). And one thing we had a hard time to understand is why the reservation was complusory for the 2 big restaurants (with plenty of room for the whole hotel in each) when they only had 3 restaurants.

If we had known in advance that the food was not so good, we would have chosen a different place. (For instance, before choosing Jamaica I read comments saying that Jamaica was better than Mexico in terms of quality- well, from our experience any 4,5 - 5 stars Mayan Riviera hotel would beat by far Sans-Souci in terms of accomodation and food for the same or a lesser price. For the same price we had an amazing experience in Mexico at a 4,5 stars hotel in 2005 , El Dorado Royale , A Spa Resort by Karisma: gourmet food, all dinners a la carte and plenty of choices, a jacuzzi in-suite and a hammock in the balcony, a wine expert counselling the clients in the main restaurant, impecable room cleanliness and amazing customer service). We would go back there with no hesitation!

The only plus Sans-Souci had were the sports. My husband had enjoyed a lot the water-sports (sailing) and the free tennis lessons.

Concerning the activities, the night shows were fine. But there was a little problem with the day ones. There were a lot of activities listed, but when we tried to attend some of them, nobody showed up (not even the organiser). When we tried to reach them, they seemed completely lost.

The customer service is fine. Those people work really, really hard. You can see that they are trying. It is no their fault if they are not well trained in all the fields. I think the problem in Sans-Souci is the management (or the lack of it).

Everything here is pretty much perfect. The service is excellent, the food is outstanding, the resort itself is beautiful. I don't have a single negative thing to say about our stay, and it was worth every penny spent.

Stayed for one week for our 25th wedding anniversary and paid for room upgrade.Room lovely but at back of hotel and could only just see the sea so not certain was upgrade.Beach is very small and crowded and all shaded chairs taken early in morning by the usual people leaving towels etc.plus they forgot our anniversary even though a promise was made to leave something in our room but hey never mind.All in all a lovely hotel and would certainly go again
