This really was just as every other review has previously written. Nearly perfect. The location is amazing, the staff is super chill and the views are spectacular. The rooms are great. We stayed in two while there. If you can get the penthouse, do it. Teddy can cook up anything you want - his lobster thermidor kills. Respect. Outside, you can cab it anywhere in Negril for 300JA tops (four bucks) and a five minute walk will get you offers to sell anything and everything you need. We didn't really have any complaints at all. I guess they could use new bed sheets and pillows. That's it.

Tip: When Millie (I think that's her name) comes around every morning selling her tangerine juice in old rum bottles... buy it! In a few days you'll be buying three at a time.

“Best Kept Secret In Negril!”

Blue Cave Castle

This hotel is truly the best kept secret in Negril! There couldn't be a more beautiful place to stay.
The property is just beautiful, the sunsets are fantastic from any location on the site.

The rooms are wonderful and kept immaculately clean by the staff, there are cd players in all rooms and TV's in some. I had no problem with the showers at all, lots of water pressure, just delightful.

While the hotel sits at the top of the cliffs, there are many access points to the sea for a refreshing swim in the warm water and lots of snorkeling opportunities. If you want the beach it's a short trip to 7 mile beach.

The staff at the Blue Cave are exceptionally helpful, we will not soon forget Petrona, Fuzy, Jennifer, and Robert, who were all very friendly and helped this be the very best vacation we've had in a long while.

The security at the hotel and just the fact that the building is a castle make you feel very secure. Brandy the Castle guardian is not only a beautiful shepard, but very well trained, polite with guests and knows what her job entails.

We didn't do as much traveling and visiting tourist sites as we may have planned, partially because we were just having too much fun enjoying the Castle grounds and relaxing.

See Susan, the gracious and lovely owner, for tips for some really great, reasonably priced restaurants in the area, that is if you don't want to take advantage of the on grounds chef, Teddy. Who made our morning breakfasts a relaxing and tasty part of our trip. His service is excellent, presentation couldn't have been better!

My suggestion would be to meet and enjoy the other guests there, we met many who regularly come back for long stays at the BCC. Which says alot in itself! Wonderful people who were more than willing to share their information on places to go in Negril and just share their experiences there.

It is our wish to go back to the BCC as soon as we possibly can, I don't wish to stay anywhere else. In fact, I'm still acclimating to home and missing not having the soothing sound of the sea lapping the cliffs around the castle. We'll definitely be back!

Five stars is not even enough for a property that literally brought me back to life. I came to this place overworked, overstressed and just beat down. After 7 days I left feeling 20 years younger! I've stayed at some of the best properties in the world...I am very picky when it comes to where i lay my head! Blue cave does not have luxury linens..it does not have marble bathrooms...as a matter of fact, the room on my final night had a shower that gave me water for about 1 minute, I found this out after I soaped my body all up and found that the water trickled down to a drip! No problem, shut the water off for about 2 minutes...think about how lucky you are to be here...turn it back on and QUICKLY rinse before it trickles back down again! All I'm saying is, The worst room here, is better than the BEST room anywhere in the world! By the way, Don't eat anywhere else but on the property, Teddy is the BEST chef on the island...and you've got him right at your fingertips! Words can't even begin to describe this place. Petrona, Santa, Teddy, Robert and all my cleaning ladies...thank you for a magical stay in your castle!

PS. for great transportation from Montego Bay...FABIAN TOURS is the Best driver you will find. I went by myself and I felt very safe with him as my driver. Tell him MIa sent you and you MIGHT get a discount! Just google Fabian Woodbine Tours and you'll find his website!
Enjoy Jamaica!

I spent 5 nights at the castle with my friend. It was absolutely everything I imagined and more!!

The grounds are immaculate, the rooms are spacious and unique, the staff is truely wonderful and you meet some pretty interesting people throughout your stay.

Everything is really layed back there and very safe and secure.
We got to see alot of the other places both on the beach and on the cliffs and nothing compared to the feeling at the castle.

Most of all it was BEAUTIFUL!!!

I have been on top of the world since my trip there and can't wait to go back!! ( ha ha that will be in june )

Blue Cave Castle A++++++

“Kings of the Castle!”

Blue Cave Castle

Nov 22, 2007
5/5 found this review helpful

The Blue Cave Castle is hands down the best hotel in Negril Jamaica! Maybe on the entire island.

The owner and management give a damn! It matters to them that you enjoy your stay. They bend over backwards to do whatever it takes to make it happen. Want to go snorkeling? They have a guy. Want breakfast, lunch or dinner? A phone call away. A trip to The Appleton Rum Tour, or the Pelican Bar? They have a driver who won't empty your pockets.

But that's just the hospitality. The rooms are spotless, some have TV's and AC. All rooms have an ocean view, but an ocean view doesn't capture it. It's an ocean presence--the ocean is right there, in every moment, every thought.

I love this place, I encourage you to go, and yes, the prices on the website are accurate. All this for a mind boggling low price.
