We stayed at beaches Negril April 21-28 2007... My family had a one bedroom oceanfront suite for my husband & I and my 2 daughters ages 8 & 9, my parents had a regular ocean front room and my sister & brother in-law also had a regular oceanfront room. All the rooms were very clean and very nice with a tropical feel to them. The only thing that was an issue were the mosquitos, which were only a minor problem if you didnt keep the bathroom door closed. However, we were prepared with bug spray so it want a big deal, really. The food was pretty good and very typical american fare to accomodate the kids. The drinks were good , the shows were entertaining and the piano bar was fun. The beach was beautiful and the water was crystal clear, warm and just utterly breathtaking. The staff was excellent. They were very friendly and really went out of their way for the kids. They knew everyones name and made us all feel special. There is a photoshop where you can schedule a sunset photo shoot and the photographers are constantly taking candiod shots of all the guests throughout the trip. Every time they sbnap a photo they give you an wrist band that you can turn in at the photoshop to view and purchase... so dont worry if you forgot your camera.
The kids really liked the water park and the adults reallylike the lazy river. There were also plenty of activities at the pool too..
There was a snack bar and ice cream stand right by the waterslide that the kids could help themselves to at anytime.
My girls also got their hair braided for 50 USD ea. which made mommys life sooooo much easier. You can get it done on the resort for $85 and up or you can wait for someone to approach you on the beach.... probably Janet, angela or mona lisa like we did... we also re-did it the day before we left too.
We went on alass bottom boat ride, outside of the resort for $20 per person ... the ride was over an hour long and really nice.
We also rent jetskis & parasailing from the guys in the ocean.
The guys on the jetskis can hook you up with anything that the resort doesnt....
There was soo much more to do , both incl in your package and outside of the esort/package... or you can just relax like we did.
There was a little rain everyday for about an hour around 3pm but it was quick and perfectly timed for a nap...
The pools were always crystal clear and the grounds w2ere gorgeous. There was always someone cleaning , planting, repairing something.
every morning the beach is combed manually by a staff member and towels and bathrooms are easily accessible everywhere.
They had alot for very young kids and teens... not as much for the tweens and other guests commented on the great nanny service too.This was an excellent vacation and i would recommend it to anyone with kids.
