I love Jamaica and tried my best to enjoy my stay at this resort. However, there is not much to rave about here. First and foremost, we had to change rooms 3 times because the bathrooms on the prude side are disgusting. There are black stains in and on the toilets and tub and the floors were dirty. We had the housekeeper (after calling several times) with no results. Well, she was able to get the floor clean but none of the other stains would come out. We had to speak with several managers to even be considered for a room change. We did eventually get an ok room but not worth the price. More like a best western with a nice view of the beach. What made this part of the experience the worst was that the staff did not show us much respect or take us very seriously. They were actually very often rude.
Second, the water sports instructors would not take us out on the water. They spent the entire day making excuses and drinking pina coladas! I was very disappointed about his because I love the ocean and that was the very reason we cam to Jamaica. The beach is not very accessible. It is hard to get a boat out of the harbor. The sand is very rocky and you need to bring shoes to wear in the water or you will cut your feet on the shells and rocks on the beach and in the water.
The food was not very good and if you wanted food or drinks between 4pm and 6pm you had to walk quite far (almost half a mile) to the only open bar or you had to suffer the limited and not very tasty menu that room service had to offer. There were only a few choices that were editable but they were usually out of those things.
There is not much entertainment and what they had was not very entertaining. The night of the street party was fun but other than that there was not much to keep us entertained. Overall, I felt trapped and could not wait to get off the resort to get some good food and finds some friendly faces and something to do. Do not stay here.
