We were sent to Hedonism III based on room availabilty from the Super Select Option from the Superclubs website. While we thought we were well informed of what we would see and experience, the reviews were short of what was reality. We were there as nudists who wanted a relaxing vacation; however, we discovered right away that it was a place of exibitionism and swinging lifestyles. Given that the resort is less than 10 years old, the facilites were very worn and in need of repair.

Fortunately we were able to meet a few couples who were there looking to relax just as we were. We were also able to find a few quiet places where we didn't have to see the daily "porno-show". The positive aspects of the resort were our dining experiences at the Pastafari restaurant, the Piano bar (Orville was fantastic), the bar above the Scotch Bonnett (Martin was great) and the house band (Ecstacy - George, Omar and Paulie - great guys!). At the main bar, Michael took the time to get to know us and to explain the Patois conversations he was having with the other staff - great customer service! Overall, the staff was great but the sexual openess was more than we bargained for.

Every moment was a new adventure. From one pool to a beach then to another pool and then to another beach and then again to another pool. Great groups of people everywhere I went. The nude side was a lot more social and the prude side was when you just wanted plain rest and relaxation.

Great service from all the bartenders (who I saw a lot of), the maids kept my room very clean and all the waitstaff were quick with their service. The watersport staff were knowledgeable and friendly.

The grounds were kept well. The whole resort was safe and secure with security guards posted everywhere 24hours a day. Not once did I feel threatenned except when the resort cat hissed at me.

The biggest nap time would have been after supper. There was noone really around the resort at that time unless you were at the dining room. But when midnight rolled around wow the nude hot tub was nearly overflowing and a line up at the bar.

The weather was great the whole time at the resort but up on the mountains a few kilometers away it was cloudy and rainy up there.

I called my travel agent and wanted to go solo at an all inclusive. Just to relax, soak up the sun, have the freedom to do what I like and maybe make some new friends. He recommended Club Med in Cancun or here. I should have gone to the latter.

Don't get me wrong "Hedo III" is a pretty nice all inclusive but it caters more to the older swingers crowd than much else. I needed to get away and I wanted to avoid frolicing honeymooners and retired travel groups.

There are three sections to Hedo that get more risque as you wander further into the property thats divided by three pool areas. There's the "prude" section that is closest to the public and entrance so it's G rated. Then the "optional" section with its nice pool and swim up bar and finally the mandatory clothless section where you can get sprayed down if you wander around that pool area clothed.

In general the property had nice support services. Great bars, pretty nice restaurants, lots of scheduled activities. But unless you are a "Hedo regular" you wont know much about their nightly themed events where the guests bring and wear their own costumes to them night after night. Better bring an extra suitcase.

All in all Hedo III appears to have it's regulars that make it down annually for their swap reunions. And thats what most of the resort caters and revolves around too. Its more a clique driven experience and unless you desire to "partake in the fun" you'll probably want to move over to the Breezes across the bay.

What can we say .. we´ve been there in 2004 and no doubt that it was the best party hotel we alwyas met.
We love to party and we are always recomending hedo to our friends, we will be back this year probaly before summer.
Just go for the fun, dont expect a nice beach because it´s a tank, but who cares, people go there to party and for the theme parties and to have fun.
I think once in a lifetime partypeople just know hedo.
