We stayed at the Hotel Melia while on a driving tour of Puerto Rico. It was definately a treat to come around the corner and see we picked a great option.

My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the original rooms in the Hotel which was wonderful - definately the best hotel we had stayed in yet on the trip. Bathroom was small but efficient.

Our friends were in the newest portion of the hotel and that fit their lifestyle perfcetly (I thought the room looked a little like the inside of a Holiday Inn).

The pool was wonderful - great little cubby tables tucked in throughout the hotel to talk or play cards.

We had an AMAZING dinner at Mark's at Melia. I think everyone fell in love with the chef at the first bite!

Nice hotel, the oldest in town, big rooms with big beds, private bathrooms, clean, elevator available, breakfast included and served on the roof with a nice view. breakfast has not a big choice, staff is friendly but everytime very busy, don´t ask to much. internet terminals available for free

Stayed at the Melia for a couple of days and loved it. It is perfectly located near the central square. Within walking distance of anything you'd want to see in Ponce. It's a lovely property, clean, well-maintained, and well-run. The staff is accommodating and helpful. I'd definitely stay there again if traveling to Ponce. The hotel restaurant - Mark's - is also excellent.

The Melia is a lovely old hotel in historic Ponce. We stayed for four nights and suggest you ask for a quiet side room...on our first night we stayed in a room overlooking the plaza and it was noisy. They graciously moved us the next morning upon our request and we received an equal room for $30 less per night. Skip the continental breakfast and head up the street to the "Classic Delights" cafe for great coffee, pastry, and home cooked food. The Melia's staff were very accomodating and gave great advice and directions when asked. Good value and a terrific location.

Lots to see and do in this southern Puerto Rican city. Visit the Ponce Art Museum and the Seralles Castle. On Sunday evenings, there is a free classical concert in the Plaza --- join the townies for this local treat. Do a day trip to San German to see the old church and surrounding town and drive to the lighthouse in Boqueron for amazing cliff views of the Atlantic.
