I should have listened to tripadvisor about this one. I figured that this was club med''s newly renovated luxury resort and that I could not go wrong. I have been to other club meds before and have enjoyed the experience. The resort and beach are beautiful. The hotel rooms are definitely not 5 star - I would say 3 and 1/2. I was warned by tripadvisor that if you don't speak French - you would have a difficult time communicating with the staff. I do speak French so I thought it would not be an issue for me. The problem is the staff at this club med do not care about their clientele. The GO's and staff often ignored the guests. Even getting served at the bar was a challenge!
Even though the main restaurant is buffet - they provide coffee and wine service (by the way the wine choices are red, white and rose - and only 1 type). It was difficult to get served the coffee and wine- they seem to ignore you so you end up serving yourself - even putting your own cutlery on the table. The other restaurant a la carte was a big disappointment - food selection poor and not tasty. Although the buffet restaurant had a good selection - I really got fed up of having no alternative dining experience.
The entertainment at night was terrrible - we ended up watching tennis on tv most nights.
We rented a car one day - which was nice. We took the catamaran trip to St. Lucia which was worthwhile.
This club med is definitely not 5 star and not worth the money.
