Le Petit Hotel was absolutely beautiful. It was situated at the far end of Grand Case Beach which was more private, but still not too far of a walk up to the wonderful restaurants. We stayed on the 2nd floor in room 4 and the furnishings were top notch with the exception of the king sized mattress which initially appeared to be very soft and plush, however the additional feather bed topping was not enough to make up for the worn mattress that upon further inspection, had collapsed sides and was hard. Our neighbors indicated that their bed was very nice so perhaps some have already been upgraded but I would ask. The balcony was also nicely furnished and had a spectacular view of Anguilla. It was a great location for our evening wine, cheese and french bread happy hours. Caroline was an absolute doll and we couldn't have had a nicer welcome, and Stephanie gave us a warm send off. This simple hotel doesn't have the amenities of the big resorts we are used to, but you didn't need all those in the quaint town of Grand Case where friendly people and great food and wine was abundant. The food was spectacular. We really enjoyed La California (super fun staff), Le Tastevin, L'Auberge Gourmande and Le Cottage for dinners. The food and staff were wonderful at all of them, and so friendly to talk with. Sunset was nice for breakfast and lunch, and definitely don't miss out on the Lolo's for lunch or the French pizza at La California or in Marigot! Excellent!!!! Spiga had good food too, but was much more formal and less friendly. Last but not least, be sure to have some of the home made passion rum shots!
