We stayed at Guavaberry in the "Mango" bungalow (2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms) with our two teenagers in early April 2008. The bungalow was very clean and well stocked. The only thing that would have been nice to have was a blender for frozen drinks. The deck was awesome w/ a great view. Actually, all the bungalows appeared to have great views from their decks. The commissary was so handy and reasonably priced. The Delmonico steaks(ribeyes) and the good-sized shrimp were very tasty. The only thing the commissary does not offer is fresh produce. Buck's Market and Rosie's are the local small grocery stores carrying produce and other items you made need. We brought our own coffee and a few favorite spices along with us. Eating out at restaurants is very expensive. Rock Cafe was very tasty, okay service but the piano bar with Simon Kirk from the UK was a blast. Chez Bamboo was very good and great service but again expensive. The Spring Bay Beach is lovely. We rented a jeep which was convenient for cruising the island, going to other beaches or to the grocery store. You could walk to our beach but our bungalow was located across the main road and was nice to have a ride to and from the beach especially when you're hot and sticky. Have to mention the very professional, friendly staff at Guavaberry. Tina, Michelle and Valerie were all very helpful and polite. The dogs, Pearl and Sokum were a great addition to the staff too!
