This hotel is located on the Caribbean side of the island and in an upper-class neighborhood. We loved the view from our balcony looking southwest over the water, allowing my wife to be able to sunbathe without leaving the balcony (as well as view the Southern Cross and the Milky Way on moonless nights)!
The staff was pleasant and helpful (e.g. our TV was replaced within an hour after our call to the front desk). Rockies (a steep hike down the steps) had good food -- though a somewhat limited menu -- and the staff (including a bartender who called herself "Sexy Val") was attentive and fun. We were disappointed that dinner at Diana's (at the hotel) was only open from 7pm-9pm and we missed it. We did find a great BBQ shack down the street ("Bary's" -- an 8-minute walk next to the bakery) where we had an "island" meal several times. Farther down the road is the biggest supermarket on the island, RAM's, which was about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. From there you can jump on a local van-bus for a buck and go into town (or walk -- another 15 minutes or so one-way). The bathroom windows were not able to keep the mosquitos out, so I would highly recommend repellent at night. Overall a pretty good deal for the money spent.
We found St. Kitts to be well worth visiting. The island residents were helpful and quite friendly and we felt safe after dark. I was able to rent a bicycle in town for a week and found the drivers (with whom I shared the road with at times) to be courteous.
