We stayed at Beachcombers for two nights, one night before a our one week charter out of Bequia and another at the end of our trip. It has a lovely view of the Grenadines, it was clean, and the staff extremely helpful. We arrived late at 10:00 p.m. on the last flight from Barbados and while the kitchen was closed the chef was still on site. They re-opened the kitchen for our party of four, and we were so grateful, given we had been travelling all day and were starving! All the meals we had there were delicious. Complimentary continental breakfast is included, and you can add eggs and bacon or omelets for a very reasonable price. This place is a great value. They have a lovely pool and patio area. Next time we go, and we vowed we would, we will book the studio on the second floor yellow building which has a full kitchen, and will put our family or friends on each side in regular hotel rooms. We would then have the entire floor and a huge covered deck to enjoy this beautiful and quaint resort right on Villa Beach. Don't miss a trip to the Tobago Cays!

My boyfriend and i have just returned from a very short trip to St Vincent and stayed at the Beachcomber for 1 night. We stayed in the penthouse suite which was extremely reasonable at about £150 (UK) bed and breakfast (reasonable for a penthouse but there are much cheaper rooms available!). The room was so nice we didn't want to leave it! It had a huge bed, living area with an enormous comfy sofa and TV with all the cable channels on, a kitchen area with everything you need should you decide to go self catering and a huge bathroom with a double jacuzzi bath. Everything is done out in neo greek style for some reason but all very nice indeed. The best bit is the fantastic outdoor verandah which was very large and beautifully furnished with spectacular views over the verdant hills and towards Young island. Very good for romantic couples. There is a small pool at the hotel with padded chairs and stairs down to the lovely beach. It's volcanic dark sand but very soft and a warm sea (do go snorkelling or diving - loads of reefs and plenty of creatures to look at). The restaurant is located by the pool which again has the lovely views. there are a few mosquitos but nothing too annoying. take some repellant. The food is fine basic fodder - all very edible but nothing fancy. Breakfast is a bit of a letdown which I have read in the other reviews - very scanty - some toast and cereal and that is it! You can order additional food though and pay extra - we had omelettes which were very nice. My advice however is to get to a shop and buy your own so you can eat it on your verandah. The best thing about the hotel was the little black and white kitten we fell in love with - little fleabag. She's very friendly and will purr like mad if you pick her up for a cuddle. If you stay here please give her a bit of your fish chowder from us!

Beachcombers Hotel

My daughter and I had a wonderful visit there. We loved the staff and the food and even the other guests. My daughter is 8 years old and could be really difficult to please had a totally grand time. We are already planning another trip. We have a home in St. Vincent but the Beachcomber ROCKS. We will be back next year for another grand week or so with our beachcomber family. We were here in August of 2007.

“Great Ambience, Friendly, Hospitable”

Such was my experience when I 1st stayed at the hotel in Feb '07 that I had no hesitation in staying a 2nd time around in May '07. The ambience, relaxed atmosphere coupled with the friendliness and hospitality of the team was truly an experience for a seasoned business traveller from the distant land of South Africa, used to requesting accommodation at the last minute and having become used to making extra-ordinary requests. Hey, they were busy, but they still fulfilled my request for a specific room that I had gotten used to at such short notice and they even accommodated me in a separate room on the day of my departure due to their need to now satisfy the next customer for that specific room. And although I was a bit of nuisance, they just smiled and continued to make my comfort their priority. This 'home' is now my preferred choice and I am about to make my 3rd reservation without doubt at this awesome Beachcomber hotel. I could consider some of the other wonderful hotels but I'd rather be in the familiar surroundings of my friends at the Beachcombers. From the security personnel to cleaning staff, to reception to the waitresses and Bar Man, I honestly felt like a King. Management, I am sure are working continuously to improve the variety of food, 24/7 room & communications services and generally additional facilities. But not much more requires an improvement if the personal touch is constantly at hand and the smile is constant.

“Wonderful Surprise”

I accompanied my husband on a business trip to St. Vincent and stayed at the Beachcomber Hotel. After reading the reviews, our expectations were not high. We were so suprised when we arrived. The staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and nice. Our room (deluxe) was large with plenty of storage space, clean and cheerful. We had a lovely balcony from which we could see the water. The web site does not do this hotel justice. The amenities are not listed. The room came with a hairdryer, refrigerator, and an electric tea kettle to make coffee in the room (instant coffee, creamer and sugar included). We were told that hairdryers did not come in all rooms, so check before you go. Pool towels were available at the reception desk (not very thick). There are in-room safes. The pool was great and there is access to the beach from the pool area. The continental breakfast was simple, but adequate. You can always order from the breakfast menu. Our only negative is that the main door into our room did not have a deadbolt or security chain to lock when you were in the room. There was a security lock on the balcony door. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful with lots of flowers in bloom all around.
