We stayed at Hummingbird in July and loved it! We had one of the rooms upstairs. It was beautiful, cool and clean. The location is excellent as it is only 10 minutes walk to the beach and major resturants. Paul & Linda were wonderful. We rented their car to take a drive around the island, which I highly recommend to everyone.
They have a mini resturant on the property. Paul is an excellent cook and you can order dinner with them. The cost is around $20.00 (US). Breakfast is not included in the price, so if you want breakfast it is about $5.00 (US) for breakfast.
We enjoyed our stay at Hummingbird so much that if we return we will definitely stay there once again!

I found the hotel via The Rough Guide to Trinidad and Tobago and what was described there was consistent with my experience. I deliberately chose somewhere small (as well as affordable and convenient) as I was travelling alone and found it very suitable to my needs - comfortable, quiet, relaxing, with all the facilities I wanted.
I have seen mixed views about the proprietors. I found them knowledge, helpful, and supportive when I was the victim of a minor crime elsewhere in Tobago. I had evening meals in the hotel - very good, freshly cooked - and enjoyed my conversations with Paul about cricket, our respective experiences of working in Trinidad, etc.

Just come back from two weeks in sunny Tobago. Now traumatised
by british weather again. We stayed for 6 nights in Crown Point before moving onto explore the island.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Hummingbird, it was the best place we stayed in. Room was spacious & clean. Good value. First minbar that I've ever seen that wasn't extorionate.

Hosts were exemplary. Helpful, friendly. They both seem to love they're job and our holiday wouldn't have been the same without they're help and advice. The last review doesn't seem to make sense with the experience we had.

Would recommend the Island Girl catamaran trip as the best of it's kind.

Short walk from Crown point beach which is one of the best ones on an island of great beaches.

Would go back in a minute.

stayed overnight from Trinidad....thank god it was just 1 night.......had read a couple reviews but i dont go by heresey....i like to experience it for myself......friendliest creature around was the dog. Talk to some other afro caribbean people & wife didnt give them the time of day

For the hours i spent there i never saw them in conversation with anyone else but the "other" guests...the owners always seem to be in laughter & conversations with the "other" guests from the bar side..... and oh..found a long black hair on the shower curtain...certainly wasnt from the dog.....

To the owners remember u have lots of competition on that street alone....try to be friendlier to all guests redardless of race..it wont hurt at all
