Our little family just spent a week at the hollywood suites and have come back rejuvenated. If you are looking for a quiet, tranquil and relaxing vacation this is the place to go. For an entire week we simply went from our suite to the hammock and onto the 7 miles of the most incredible beach we have EVER seen. Our stay was too short and though the weather could have been more cooperative- the stay was still amazing. There is nothing touristic on this island. You get to see the real people who live on the island and pretend that this was your home. We miss our little home in Turks and Caicos. Alveda, the manager of the suites was incredibly accomodating and cooked us dinner every night. She was there whenever we needed her and was incredibly helpful in EVERY way. I think because of the weather that week we had a couple of mosquito bites so be sure to bring some bug repellent! Otherwise- it was like heaven on earth.

My husband and I spent 10 glorious days at Hollywood Beach Suites in North Caicos! I could not have asked for a more relaxing vacation! If you are looking to get away from it all, and feel like you are the only people on an island this is the place for you! We enjoyed the suites-they are extremely comfortable, and the kitchen is well equiped-we especially loved the blender! If you would enjoy swinging in a hammock, drinking a tropical drink, and hearing the waves and watching nature-you must go here! Speaking of nature, I have never seen so many butterflies, dragonflies, lizards, crabs and fish in my life. We enjoyed walking the beach for hours picking up beautiful shells, and snorkeling in the crystal clear water. It was like heaven on earth! We did not have any TV stations (we did enjoy a few DVD's from the small library in the suite), which was a real treat. . . It is so easy to get caught up with what is going on in the world, and this way you can totally tune out everything and concentrate on enjoying the person you are with. Don't bring lots of clothes, only a few T-shirts and shorts, and a few bathing suits. It is a very casual island, and you are basically going there to relax-don't expect to do much else! You can explore the island very easily with the bikes that are provided-they also have kayaks and snorkel equipment. Go to unwind, and you will not be disappointed!

If you're in to nature - this is the place for you. If you're in to miles and miles of beaches - this is the place for you. If you're in to being isolated and secluded - this is the place for you. This is NOT a place for those who are looking for night life (the only night life you'll get is a star studded sky, and the only noise you'll hear is the ocean lapping at the shore), shopping, bars -in other words - this island is not filled with tourists. My husband and I loved it! With only four units/cottages on the whole place, you practically have the whole beach(es) to yourself. The units are clean, cute, and efficient - the bathrooms are somewhat older, but overall, the units are very comfortable. AC in the bedroom, ceiling fans, and a washer/dryer are a major plus. Alveda and her husband, Charlie, the property managers, were wonderful! Alveda cooked us dinner, steamed conch, grouper, a handful of times. If you're in to island food - have Alveda cook up a dish or two.
The beaches are beautiful - the water is incredible - we literally walked for hours and did not see another soul. My only complaint is the debris we found around our beach - not a lot, but enough to detract from the beauty of the place. All in all, it's a great place to truly get away from it all.

If you want quiet and peaceful then Hollywood Beach Suites is for you. I think we saw a grand total of three people on the beach during our seven day stay. And, oh, what a beach it is! Seven miles of caribbean splendor protected by a reef. The water is like a giant blue swimmimg pool.
The suites are also wonderful. The kitchen is nicely equipped for cooking, the living room is very comfy, and the king bed is very nice. The pro- series grill overlooking the beach is a great touch for nightly cooking. Having the kayaks, snorkeling gear and bikes is tremendous. The bikes are the way you get around the island, so it is nice to have high quality bicycles.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention Alveda Gardiner and her husband Charley, who are at your beck and call for the whole period of your stay. The airlines lost our luggage going down (and coming back!) and Alveda was a lifesaver in getting it to our door, no questions asked. Anything you need, Alveda will arrange it with a smile, but she is never intrusive and respects your privacy.
Take the water taxi over from Provo and then you can stop at the IGA and stock up on groceries. They have a great selection and the prices are only about double what you would pay in the U.S. Prices are about the same at KJ's on N. Caicos, but the selection is limited.
If we go back to the Turks and Caicos, Hollywood Beach Suites will be our destination!
