Three night stay last month. Room clean but in need of paint -- and tile in shower in poor shape. Very difficult to get service at the outdoor bar ~ tried to order dinner twice(at the bar) and no wait staff visible for 1/2 hour. I finally walked into kitchen to find someone. Room service quite speedy, however. No shops or restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.

We have just returned from a week vacation in St. Croix and stayed at the Divi Carina Resort from 2/19-2/25. The resort is on the eatern tip of the island and it is very secluded especially during the winter break travel. Our room was facing the beautiful caribbean ocean and a view ot the breathtaking mountainside.
The entire stay was very relaxing despite having problem with our luggage in San Juan. We were treated with very friendly and very couteous staff especially the hardworking crew at the Dockside Cafe. I just have to mention Kevin Jackson (GM) for being a good hearted person. The food were very good and served in large portions. The beach were to die for , white sandy beach overlooking the blue caribbean ocean in a quiet relaxing atmosphere. Don't forget to bring a lot of suntan lotion since the sun is too hot just like in Hawaii. We have chosen this resort compare to other places for a real get away besides some bad reviews and guess what? Having to enjoy your entire vacation with at the Divi Carina Resort with your family is PRICELESS!

Arrived at the hotel at 8pm ,got to our room and walked out to the balcony overlooking the beach and said to my wife "wow this is great" .Until the next morning when we went for breakfast .Breakfast is normally buffet style but you can order ala carte ,we decided to order ala carte asked for cofee with my breakfast and waited like 20 minutes ,waitress never came back so we asked another waitress for coffee and finally got it ,breakfast came 15 minutes later cold. Later in the morning I saw another waitress and told her the service was horrible she in turn told the manager and the manager came to see me and squashed the bill. Two days later at the other restaurant we also waited 20 minutes to get waited on and at both locations it was not that busy. The hotel is very far away from other restaurants so your pretty much stuck at eating at these two places unless you rent a car . Also they advertise a coffee shop which is never opened. The beach was clean but the water was pretty rough all week the pool water was pretty cloudy the hot tub was full of sand .Would not go to this Hotel again

We stayed at Divi 3/11 - 10/11 in one of the villas (found a great bargin on ebay) and had a brilliant time..the staff was friendly at reception even though we got there quite late in the evening and the people who worked in the resturant was excellent..the villa was clean and tidy...and i loved the beach..the only complaint i had was that there was too much of a climb to get to the villa's but other than that...it was all good...will visit again
