“A vacation you'll never want to end!”

The Palms at Pelican Cove

5 of 5 stars
New Hampshire
Jul 24, 2008

Our stay at The Palms was the second to none. The property was absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained. We constantly saw staff maintaining the grounds. Our room was huge with an unimaginable view! The bed was extra comfy, which for me is a nice change from other hotels we have stayed at. We never went without a fully stocked and cleaned room. The staff treated us like royalty. Their restaurant was fabulous. The food was out of this world (not to mention the creative drinks). There were new items on the menu daily. The staff really cared if we were having a good time. They also made sure we were only going with best when heading out to shop or chartering a sailboat. They knew all the best places on the island. There were many amenities on the property. We swam everyday either in the warm ocean or their crystal clear pool. Everything we needed was right there. It also made us sleep very soundly knowing they had a 24 hr a day security staff. It was so obvious the staff is one big family and they were very proud of their hotel. We can’t wait to go back!

“Friendly, convenient, a great place to stay”

The Palms at Pelican Cove

Florida

Just got back from a great vacation in St Croix. We stayed at the Palms for a week, everyone was friendly and helpfull, the room was great, The pool is large an deep at one end (≈8 feet) great for swimming, nice and clean with new poolside furniture.
The bar/restaurant overlooking the beach has great food with daily specials plus a bar menu available till ≈10PM. Try splitting a full rack of ribs!
Chuck the very friendly owner loves to snorkel and is happy to go with you right off the beach at the Palms. Snorkeling is very good with lots of fish and nice warm clear water.
Foodtown is only a few blocks away to pick up supplies which you can keep in the rooms refrigerator.
The coffee maker was nice, make a cup in the morning and sit out on the patio or balcony in the morning breeze and enjoy.

“A Piece of Heaven”

The Palms at Pelican Cove

Jul 19, 2008

I can die now, for I have been to a piece of heaven on earth. My family and I stayed at The Palms in St. Croix, a 40 room resort that was surrounded by beautiful palm trees, white sand and turquiose waters. The resort is located in Pelican Cove where the water gently laps the beach. My room was a cottage with a deck that face the beach only 50 yards from me. The resort had top snorkeling equipment so we didn't have to bring our own. You can grab your equipment and head to the beach early in the morning and back for a wonderful breakfast in their open air restaurant. The resort had a pool, bar, and fine dining all nestled close to the beach. The rooms are all within a close distance so if you left something at the pool it wasn't a hike to retrieve it.

The staff at the Palms were wonderful. Chuck and his wife, Joyce, the owners, know the island and what ever you want to do they can make arrangements. If you want to golf, deepsea fish, snorkel, shop or hike they know where to do it.

The rooms all had TV's via satellite(only kids watched), small refrigerators, soft water for the showers and filtered water to drink.

The staff, including the waitresses(we love you Ilene) , bartenders, maids were very friendly and helpful. By the end of the week you were on a first name basis.
For those that need an internet fix, the resort had a media room, that included internet and books.

My family and I loved The Palms so much that we are going to make it our spot to vacation every year. We have found paradise why look else where.

“Paradise Found”

The Palms at Pelican Cove

5 of 5 stars
Bayamon, Puerto Rico
Jul 17, 2008

From the moment we arrived, The Palms at Pelican Cove said "welcome". The property is located on several acres of beach front with beautiful tropical gardens and many species of palm trees. We ate lunch at the restaurant right next to the water and watched the pelicans dive for theirs. Then to our room, a large, freshly pained ground floor room which was nicely furnished tropical style with ample terrace and lounge chairs surrounded by trees and just a few steps from the ocean. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful and are a wealth of local information. They will also call you a cab ($10 for 2 to Christiansted), and make restaurant and tour reservations. The restaurant and bar feature good drinks, good food and first class service. We are experienced travelers now retired and living in Puerto Rico. We consider our neighbor St. Croix a real find and The Palms at Pelican Cove a home away from home.

“Very Relaxing”

The Palms at Pelican Cove

4 of 5 stars
Palm Coast, Florida
Jul 17, 2008

My wife and I stayed a week at the palms. Very nice and quiet. Very comfortable room and the staff where very nice. We had several staff tending to our needs and all very nice. I remember a lady Gizelle was one of the ladys that took care of the room. Sorry I didnt remember everyone. The room had tv with adequate programming. Coffee maker. Washer and dryer outside the room. The a/c thank the lord was nice and needed. The grounds have security and adequate parking. Resturant has some really good fair to offer. Full bar. Nice pool and I think one of the deepest on the island I was told. Very quiet if that is what you like. We had a jeep and ran all over the island. I lived in St. Croix as a young boy of 10yrs old. Now I am 50 and returned after 40yrs. I always loved St. Croix as a kid. Has not changed much in all those years. The people or locals are very friendly. Please respect them! Your on island time. So slow down. If you are in a hurry stay in the states. We appriciated the small amount of time their. It seems to never be enough time. We will return in the future for sure. The resort for the most part is older and not as modern as most places their. The managment has been on a ongoing improvement of the grounds and buildings. For the most part I would stay their again.
