We just returned from a stay at comfort suites Paradise Island, and loved it. I always go to trip advisor to pick our hotels and I have never been disappointed. This is a great hotel. It is a easy walk to Atlantis. It was very clean and very nice rooms. We have also stayed at Beach Towers at Atlantis, and this was much nicer. Nice free breakfast everyday! We will return to this hotel.

Rooms are spacious and pretty clean barring the little ants scurrying round the coffee area. Might be worth bringing bug spray.

Staff are really helpful, we arrived at 10.45am and they let us check in – very kind. Also I needed a hospitality room before leaving. They only have one and it was occupied so they gave me a regular room to get showered in before leaving. Check out is 12, they offered to extend to 1pm without charge but then quoted $39.00 after that.

Breakfast is a bit naff, if you ask for eggs you get charged for them and they’re not that great. I found that the restaurant by the pool was the nicest place to have breakfast, and very quiet. All carbs though!

Helpful things to pack:
Cool bag and packs (no freezer only fridge in room)
Aqua socks – ground gets very hot
Snorkel, mask and fins – they charge $18.00 per hour at Atlantis for this
Hair dryer – one in room is rubbish

Expect to pay approx $7 for a small can of local beer in Atlantis. Visit the mall opposite comfort suites and stock up on alcohol from the liquor stores. Same with food as once again its expensive and very very average on a lunch time. They don’t take cash; you have to pay by credit card or charge it to your room.

Get to Atlantis early because they tend to run out of towels. I think the towel hut opens at 9am and the slides start at 10am. Go on the slides early because they get busy after lunch. Its quite safe to leave your belongings on a sun lounger near one of the pools whilst you go off sliding, obviously I wouldnt leave a diamond ring or large amounts of cash lying around but beach bags and contents are absolutely fine.

Expect to tip everyone for everything … urrrrrhhh!!!!

Catch the taxi boat into Nassau for shopping (Gucci is cheaper down town than in Atlantis). Once again expect to tip for the tour guide who waffles on about celebrity homes on Paradise Island. Shops are usually open when cruise ships are in town.

Atlantis is very close to the hotel BUT it is a massive resort so expect to do some walking when you get in there.

All in all a great way to visit Atlantis at half the price, but its not cheap when you get there!

just returned from 3 nights/4 days visit of PI, it was a pleasure stay at the CS. Room was spacious and comfortable; Breakfast was good enough, plently of choices; Staff was nice and helpful; Access to all services (including courtersy buses) of Atlantis was a big bonus.
definitely will come back here again ...

I am very puzzled about previous travelers recommendations regarding this hotel. Staff was extremely rude and incompetent. I asked for two Band-Aides and the reply I received was "I can give you one but have to charge you for the other." This hotel nickel and dimes you for everything!!! Want to put personal belongings in your safe...$2 a day. Would you like to use the one computer on the premises for the Internet...$5 min. charge. I flew in on a red eye flight and called for an early check in and was assured it would be granted. When I checked in..."Oh sorry sir we would never say that because we don't do that, come back in 6 hours to check in." No problem. Came back 6 hours later..."Oh sorry sir we don't have a reservation under that name." Complete morons, I would describe their overall attitude as "delightfully rude." And not sure what the buzz about the free access to the Atlantis is all about. Atlantis is a run down hotel swarming with thousands of kids and people smoking throughout the hotel. Stay on Cable Beach, Paradise Island and the Comfort Suites is overrated!!!
