We stayed here for our honeymoon. We were very satisfied with the staff, our room and the price. We stayed 2 nights and it was unforgettable. We plan to go back again for our anniversary. Not over crowded, people are nice. Mostly couples are there. The pool is amazing it over looks the ocean. One thing I wont forget is our room, the jacuzzi in there is huge we took like 10 baths. You can fit like 5 people in there...hehehe. All the rooms are ocean view with balcony. At night they play live jazz and piano. If your looking for a romantic getaway it's here.

“No Air conditioning, Reconstruction, Noisy....this is HELL!!!”

I am writting this review right from the lobby of the hotel because I cannot help the anger inside me. These guys wait until night to start reconstruction work with very noisy pneumatic drills. There is no air conditioning in the room and my bed becomes a sauna. There is no internet in the room. The wireless signal in the lobby is barely enough to give you internet access.
The hotel is far from Ensenada and there is nothing around. I will not recommend this place. I was better off staying at a motel in downtown Ensenada (at least the city is lively over there).

We stayed four nights at the Las Rosas hotel in August. We liked everything about the place. It's a smaller hotel and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The setting is lovely -- our room had french doors that led out to a little balcony overlooking the ocean. At night we left the doors open and fell asleep to the sound of the waves. The restaurant is very comfortable, the wait staff extremely friendly and the food is delicious. We had a car, and the drive into downtown Ensenada was short and easy. We look forward to visiting again and staying longer next time.

“Las Rocas Is The Best!!!”

I was married at Las Rocas Resort in August of 2004 after a friend had highly recommended it to us. After visiting a couple of times prior to our wedding date within a couple of years, we absolutely fell in love with Las Rocas. Everything about it it true Mexican hospitality at it's best. The location is amazing located right on over the rocky bluffs of the ocean's shoreline, the food at the restaurant is great, the service is excellent as they cater to your every need with a smile and polite attitude, the rooms are very comfy and cozy all with an ocean view (authentic mexican style), the resort is overall very clean, and more than anything I give HUGE props to the Wedding Service the Coordinator Willy Llamas provides. Our friends and family still talk about how our wedding was literally the BEST they'd every been to! I was so happy with the service and special attention to my "bride needs" that they gave me, and our wedding was absolutely perfect. We have gone back a few times since over the past couple years and it it just the same as it was when we got married there in 2004. They even remember our names and give us complimentary margaritas!
I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys the best that Mexico has to offer, especially those that really appreciate getting the best for their money as for quality and quantity. I can't wait to go back Las Rocas!

“Good overall, but watch for bed bugs!”

Las Rosas Hotel & Spa

A great place overall - good ocean view and excellent pool right in front of the ocean-facing side of the property. Great restaurant and passable workout facilities / pretty nice spa overall as well. The only two things worth mentioning when we (family of 4) stayed there August 2007 was the lack of air conditioning or cooling in the room (some rooms have ceiling fans over beds and some do not) and bed bug bites all over our bodies in the morning. My wife and I had never experienced a bed bug bite and initially thought the cause could be spiders, which frankly was not very appealing (bed bugs are not much better, but at least they don't hurt if you don't scratch or itch them). Advice for this property if you stay would be to have some form of bed-bug avoidance ready (sorry...not sure what exactly that would be) because otherwise you can expect to get many bites...we talked with numerous people at the pool and hot tub the following morning and ALL had numerous bites.

However, if you want a decent room with a GREAT ocean view this place is worth checking out!
