I recently spent four days and three nights with my girlfriend at La Concha. I liked its location. It is about five to ten minutes out of downtown La Paz. All the rooms have a view of the bay, although, some through palm trees. The view from the beach and bar is stunning unlike the view from the hotels in downtown La Paz. The beach in downtown is not very good and it looks onto construction on a sandbar or a Pemex terminal. The beach in front of La Concha is much nicer than downtown, but not as nice as 10 minutes further east. This is where the stunning beaches are. By being at La Concha it is less of a distance to these beaches. Food and beverages are not too expensive if you want to just stay at the hotel and its beach for the day and night. I would say the food was average.

Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were a little small, but comfortable. The hotel exterior and inside the rooms could use some painting and repair work. Like I said, the place is not perfect, but I would recommend it. It is a little more than some of the other places in La Paz and less than others. However, I thought it was worth the price.

The stay was nice beer $3 ea too high. Property was nice met a lot of nice people from around the glob. Got nice shots of whale mata rays, snorkeled with sea lions. Ricardo at the Cortez on the property is one of the only english speaking business men. He offers fishing, snorkling, and diving which is fun and exciting.
The spa on the property is very nice (never returned my shaw). Do not buy the tranfer taxi pass will save u$28 (we got ripped)
Call Javier outr new buddy that owns taxi there, tell em Randy and Debbie sent cha. Watch for the maids that make calls on your room phone we where charged for that. We also paid in advance for the American Breakfast but found out after we checked out that we paid for it again each day we signed for the coupon.
We will go back again WISER tho.

We have just returned from a week at la concha condos. The condo we had was magnificent and we experienced incredible service. It was so lovely that it was hard to drag ourselves away to go diving.

We were in La Paz during the hurricane and had to move from our other hotel which basically got flooded out to La Concha. Yes, the rooms are very basic, but how much time do you spend there, really?? The staff was absolutely wonderful, very friendly. And what can be said about the wonderful sunsets on the beach?? The food was great, the pool was warm, and the other people staying there, mostly fisherman, were very nice. Would definately stay there again.
