What a wonderful week! After the craziness of planning a wedding twice (don't ask!) and starting a new job, I was ready for rest and relaxation. Danzante is the PERFECT place to do it. Desert on one side, and beach on the other side, it was a dream honeymoon for me.

There is something for everyone here, and I would (will, I hope) go back in a heartbeat.

What a great experience. My husband and I spent my 40th birthday at Danzante and had a great time. We did rent a car and actually used it to take two couples to the airport. It was fun to have the car to go into town one day and look around.

We felt like we were on vacation at a friends house or an adult camp. If you are someone who likes to be alone on vacation and order room service this is not the place for you. All meals are served family style. You can't even get coffee in your room. So be ready to socialize and get to know your neighbors.

They make it very easy to have a good time. Horse back riding, kayaking, etc. Everything was great. Including the nightly meals. Excellent. Plenty of food. Don't worry about bringing your own stuff. You won't go hungry!

P.S. I even overcame a huge phobia of bugs while I was there. Be ready, there are a few creepy crawly things and I survived . I am actually really proud of myself that I didnt' miss such a great opportunity because of my fears.

Be ready for a relaxing get away!

We found Danzante met our expectations based on the other reviews listed here. Our kids ages 15 and 12 want to replace our annual trip to Hawaii with Danzante in the future!

Our only advice is that on your first visit you really don't need to rent a car, there is so much to do at the resort. We rented and really did not need to have a car. For our 5 night visit we spent $600 on a Jeep Liberty which includes Mexican car insurance--a must--and taxes. We could have taken an early taxi to the airport and visited Loreto prior to leaving on our flight and that would have been suffiiciant. Taxi fees to and from the airport from Danzante are $70 each way. A big savings over car rental. Your hosts Lauren and Michael can tell you where your bags can be held at the airport while you go into town.

Our food was superb and made adhering to a special diet very easy!

All the positive reviews below are accurate. We booked on the strength of them. The setting could not be better and the facilities are brilliant. Please note that this is no-where near Loreto - probably 25km south and is not signposted from the main road-so make sure you have received instructions as to how to get there (our travel agent neglected this!) before you set off. We wished we had booked more than 3 nights. Fabulous!
