“Absolutely terrible. One of my worst experiences ever.”

Contrary to usual Camino Real standards, this stay was pathetic. Suffice to say, the first room we got didn't have a working telephone line and the a/c didn´t work. After complaining we were assigned to the Presidential Suite (they told me it was the only room available).

Thinking this was more than adequate redress, the following things happened:

- We found a 6 in. scorpion in the bathroom (pic attached)
- The terrace jacuzzi was filthy as none I have seen (pic
attached)
- The deadbolt didn't work so we slept kind of unsafely
- The following morning there was no water in the shower and
after service was reestablished we never got hot water
- At check-out they tried to charge me with mini-bar articles I
didn't consume.

In synthesis, terrible. People at the hotel were attentive enough but obviously that does not compensate for a dangerous, filthy, water-lacking, plage-ridden property.

At my own asking (not their initiative) not to be charged, I got a puny US$23 off my US$153 bill for the night.

I have formally complained to management. Will keep you updated about the response.

In this ocassion my only advice is don't go to Camino Real Acapulco unless you like to sleep among scorpions and filth, shower with cold water, like to get robbed at check-out and like to risk your safety with a threadbare 2mm. chain.

“Beautiful grounds/ nice swimming areas”

Likes: Very pretty hotel with extremely nice landscaping. 3 good size pools, one is for "kiddies". Nice big rooms with balcony large enough for table, 2 chairs, and a reclining chair. Beach area was perfect because it was only accessable to Camino guest and water was calm. Room service prices were resonable and food was very good. Most employees spoke English, and those who did not , are eager to learn English and will try hard to talk to you! Really nice staff.

Dislikes: HARD BED. Very hard bed. The La Vela Restaurant was overpriced and only ok. We had ants in our room ( only on one wall) which they came and exterminated but the ants came back again. Not much to do after dark.

Overall: The good was much much better than the bad. If you drink enough Tequilla, you'll never notice the hard beds. We would definately go back.

“Shame on you Camino Real”

The hotel was OK it was nice, Rich, Very comfortable but the traveling up and down that was the worst part of out trip. Once you are in the hotel you cannot go out to the road accept you take their taxi service which cost 5 bucks JUST TO GET OUT OF THE HOTEL!!! Can you believe that? How about give me some shuttle or something to the road he? Not have me locked up there and hold me hostage and only if I give you 5 dollars you will take me up to the street and from the street get another cab because that’s cheaper.... So every time I went out and came back in the traveling cost me about 10 to 15 dollars. SHAME ON YOU CAMINO REAL I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN
Thank You

I went with 25 or so coworkers on a trip paid for by the company I worked for at the time. This hotel was awesome! There was an occaional strange monkey, bird, bug or lizard, but it was clean and fun. The food was great there, too. I never left the hotel for 4 days and found plenty to do. I recommend this for family and couples. The staff was nice, too. I remeber the only problem I had was getting the hot water to work. I took luke warm showers. The beach area is nice and the pools were clean and the lobby was fun to just sit and read and drink. Try it!!!

“Nice hotel”

I recently stayed at Camino Real and though secluded from town, the hotel itself is nice. The rooms need some upgrading. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The breakfast buffet was not that good. It was about $40 USD for 2 people so the price was about right. The hotel food in general was expensive & the selection was not that good. The beach is a nice size. The pools were great. I'd stay at another hotel if I were to go back just to have a different experience, perhaps a bit closer to the town.
