“Pierre Marques does it better”

We recently stayed 4 nights at the Fairmont Pierre Marques which is the sister property to this hotel. As a guest of the FPM you can also use the Fairmont Acapulco Princess during your stay. Although our experience at the FPM was excellent we can not say the same for our encounters at the FAP. On our first trip over our dinner reservation was "missing" at the Italian restaurant even though our conceirge had clearly made it. When we showed up with our slip ( which you NEED to have as your insurance) we were given an almost snotty attitude. As we left they admitted it was their mistake but not a great intro to the hotel.

On our third day we decided to try the pool at the FAP for a change and found it annoying that we had to sign for each and every drink delivery - not necessary at the FPM - where we received one tab at the end when we asked for it. The waiter even chased us into the pool ontime to sign - very bizarre.

Our one good encounter was at the Willow Stream spa - which was lovely - and empty - a nice treat.

Our last night there we ate at Hacienda. The staff their was attentive but gruff. They seemed annoyed by us being there and even though it was only 8:30 they seemed anxious to get rid of us. Clearly the over 60 crowd that dominates this place - at least in February - eats early and we didn't fit the mold.

If you have a choice - pick the Fairmont Pierre Marques - it is less disneylike and more pleasant all around.

fecal mater on the bathroom door and near paper despenser. And fellow traveler had drawers rifled through within two hours of their arrival and $100 taken. I would stay here: carefully, if you can stay cheaply.

I have just returned from the Acapulco Priness and was very impressed. The grounds were lovely and very well looked after., the beach was clean, beautiful and I felt very safe..no issues. I loved the food and service was top notch. For a late anfternnoon meal or early evening cocktails at the Beach Club restaurant with live entertainment..outstanding..try the Beef Tacos. I enjoyed the Brunch on Sunday with the life entertainment, many food stations ..this isnot to be missed. Our room was very large, very clean and had a great view of the ocean and moutains. I thought the Princess was a great choice and should not be missed. We took a city tour with a gentleman by the name of Roberto Alarcon who was very professional, spoke great english and showed us all of Acapulco from the rich to the everyday ...including the markets and cliff divers...loved this tour. I would be happy to share info on Roberto if needed.

“better than expected”

Six of us stayed here at the Pyramid tower. The food was the best we'd ever had, and we've stayed all over Mexico & D.R. It was a bit of an inconvenience to sign the cheque after every order; drinks, food etc even though it was all-inclusive. We had to pay $3 a bottle for water which wasn't included. Staff was great and we felt no pressure to tip. We had corner room with wrap around balcony and amazing view of beach, pools, & city. Our room could be updated a bit but was clean and we had no complaints about anything. Would go again.

“Great as always”

We just got back from our fifth visit to this hotel. It was a little too busy for us, but it is one of the busiest times of the year.

A big shout out to Jesus at the main bar. Great service and a
sincere guy. We checked out the great spa and golfed almost every day. The courses are in great shape but real tough to score on.

We had a package through Sunquest and although most things are included, you still must sign for them - a bit annoying. I recommend that you check your bill every couple of days (on the tv in your room) to ensure you are not billed for food/beverages/golf etc. that should be included in your package.

I have attached photos of a Deluxe Oceanview room. The room was refurbished over last couple of years, and has a huge walk-in closet and extra sink outside the full bath. Bed and pillows very comfortable, air-conditioning quiet and works perfectly (Room 2408 - Princessa Tower, 4th floor).

We find the food to be above average for an all-inclusive. We went off the resort twice; first to go for dinner at Zuntra (20 min cab). I can't say enough good things about this place. The food was as good as you get in Toronto. The view is out of this world. We live in Toronto area and frequent such places as Canoe, Colborne Lane, Rain, Monsoon, Lee, Jamie Kennedy, North 44. Zuntra is comparable to any of these, but with a better view. The other time we went off site we went on a cruise of the Harbour on the Acarey. It was a fun day. We booked tickets
for this through Carmen at Acafun. She offers great service, speaks great english and is very prompt with returning your emails. Contact me if you want her contact info.

If you decide to go offsite I highly reccomend using Roberto
Alarcon as your taxi Driver. We have been using his service for the last 5 years and not once has he led us astray or been late. He speaks excellent English and is very professional. Please email me if you would like Roberto's contact info or if you have any questions regarding this resort............Happy Holidays
