“absolutely horrible”

El Presidente Acapulco

My husband and I decided to go to Acapulco for a break. I booked the hotel online and from the description it sounded very nice. But when we got there we realised that it was not at all what we had thought. Only for the location (right on the beach) it would be a 2 star hotel. The lifts were terribly slow, and the door on one of the lifts would only partially open, making it impossible to get the suitcases in. The room looked dirty, the balcony seemed to be ready to fall down, it was covered with pigeon droppings, the bathroom was awful, the shower was halfway down the wall, so to wash your hair you practically had to be on your knees. I won't even go into describing the pool area... My husband and I went looking for a different hotel immediately after staying there one night. I would not recommend it to anyone.

“Cockroach hotel”

El Presidente Acapulco

My husband and I went to this hotel with another couple. This was the first time ever I encountered a massive amount of cockroaches. I am well aware that they exist in these countries. They gathered under our bed , the hotel fumigated our room twice but to no avail they wouldnt leave. Our friends room was also festered. One night the other couple came into our room because they couldnt stand the snapping of the little creatures, we had our husbands stay up to keep watch. I think I would of had more of a vacation staying home than at this place. If you can handle the cockroaches then your ok.

“Excellent Experience”

El Presidente Acapulco

A few summers ago, I visited Acapulco with a school group. We stayed in the El Presidente and I had a pleasant experience. The air conditioner worked great in our room, the pool was nice and clean, and the view was excellent. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone. I guess when you are curteous and show respect, the favor is returned.

“The worst”

El Presidente Acapulco

We have been going to Acapulco for 15 years. In fact we own time share in Acapulco. We love the weather and the convenience of the beach and the city all rolled into one. But this hotel was the worst by far. We were put into El Presidente due to legal battles with the time share we own. The Presidente was renovating and the noise was unbearable, banging on pipes and knocking down walls until 1 am. We were given a suite on the top floor and there was no balcony, just a view of the other hotel which was 200 feet away Since they were renovating, the stairway way was not available (a real fire death trap) and the elevator took at least 25 minutes to come to our floor. Our bathroom had a picture window and the blinds were not big enough to cover the whole window. The chairs around the pool were all broken and only one tree for shade. I would definitely not recomend this hotel to anyone
