“Don't Go There”

I would NOT recommend this hotel at all. It was filthy and uncomfortable. Not very nice to stay on the 22nd floor and the staff was rude and unfriendly and harldy spoke English (not the ones we dealt with anyway) We were told at check in that there is no safe on the room. Well, once we finally got up to the room (waiting for the lift took ages) we discovered that yes there was a safe but no key. We also had no remote control for the TV. Back down to the reception again, no they won't help us we had to go to some kind of utility office and queue up there and PAY DEPOSIT for the remote and key to safe. Strange. There was also other things lacking from the room, we had no information book about opening hours and what facilities there are. The kitchenette was also not fully equipped, we had to buy a knife and mugs from walmart so we could at least have a basic breakfast. The main pool was infested with kids so that was a no-go. The sunchairs were filthy, wonder when they were cleaned last time?? BEWARE of the men loitering outside the hotel shouting inappropriate comments. Be also aware of the "tourist office" inside the hotel, nect to reception. The nasty lady in there is lying to get people to go to a time share presentation to Mayan resort. Decline and buy your boattrips and whatever from outside instead. You will save time and money. The aggressive and nasty time share people will waste all your day and will be very rude to you if you don't buy their over-priced "offers" If you don't sign up for a time-share contract they will try to refuse to give you your free boat trip. So, better off staying well out of it. We will never ever again go to Acapulco, we were so put off buy our experiences over all. A rip-off ugly place!

What a dump.........service, food, rooms, bathrooms, staff........my kids and hubby were sick........I can't believe anyone would consider this a good place to spend a holiday

We went to fiesta to finish off our holiday but all in all our trip to acapulco was a disaster.

I think the staff is excellent, the activities organized are good and in general the hotel is ok, I think they could improve a little but no complains, I had excellent vacations in there!

“Great location but....”

We stayed at this hotel during the christmas break and for New Year's last year.
In order to reserve a lounge chair, you had to line up at 7:00 am to put a towel over the back of a chair & then line up again to obtain a chair pad & an umbrella (which there were very few of). We noticed that several families reserved more than one lounge chair per person & sometimes never used them, leaving their towels on them all day - it was a shame because there were lots of people who slept in and never found a lounge chair to use and ended up sitting on the pavement - luckily I had brought my beach blanket which we needed the first couple of days until we found out the routine.
The food was a huge disappointment, although on New Year's there was a gala dinner that was better. That was the only night that there was any type of entertainment. There were long waits for the elevator, pushy sales people trying to sell timeshares at other locations, the large pool was hardly ever cleaned and the alcoholic coctails were the worst I've ever had.
The hotel is also a condominium and many mexicans go there for their christmas vacation and they pack as many people into their condo as possible...avoid this time of year at this hotel!
We did find some great food at affordable restaurants that are in walking distance. The views from all rooms are directed at the ocean and the room was cleaned every day. The beach is small, and you have to climb down very steep stairs to get to it (not great for the elderly or someone with a disability). We did a "lagoon tour" of some sort that was partly on a boat, and partly in a van. The tour guide was fantastic and at the end, we had a great meal at a really nice beach - highly recommend that tour.
I would definitely go back to Acapulco because the weather is fantastic, the view of the bay is mesmorizing, and there is lots to do. I also liked the location because it was central to everything, but I would would not go back to this hotel.

“Best of the worst”

I wont be elaborate but my wife and I went to this dump. Three years ago and have never gone back. (twin towers that is). We have been to Cancun P,V and ACA we like ACA best but would never again stay in that over rated dump I agree with the other postings in ref to service food and drinks. for every meal we waited and had to on most make a left outside and eat on the mile. Food on the mile is fantastic. again at all cost stay away from the dump and watch out for the big rocks in the so called private beach.
