My husband and I took our daughter and her boyfriend for a two week stay to this hotel. Upon arrival our rooms were not quite ready but thats to be expected when a hotel is busy. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for our rooms. Later we asked the front desk if we could possibly have rooms closer to the pool. Without hesitation they were more than happy to give us two pool side rooms that not only were gorgeous, they were a step up from our original rooms as we only booked basic rooms. The Front desk was so poliet and Pierre the manager, well he was the most fantastic and most professional manager I have ever met. For example, after a few too many tequilia my husband and I got into a stupid booze induced fight. We were loud and I pretty much made a fool out of myself. He was so accommodating and reassured us everything would be ok in the morning after the tequilia had passed! LOL.. the only one that was an idiot was me. Not the staff, sure they may have looked at us funny but we did make fools out of ourselves. The wait staff was absolutely fantastic they went over and above the call of duty. Although we tipped them generously it was not expected and the service did not faulter if we didn't leave a tip. I especially loved one waitress named Marcella. She was so caring and professional and went out of her way to please our family. My daughter's boyfriend turned 21 at the hotel and the staff prepared a song, dance and decorations along with a nice Birthday cake for him. They came to the table sangs songs and it was so fantastic. The hotel has an excellent Animation/Entertainment Co-ordinator named David who always had fun things to do for the family around the pool. In the evening he rounded up all the youngsters and took them to various clubs throughout the city. We encountered a nightmare while on the close of our holiday, our visa was stolen (not in the hotel) and our bank cards in Canada were frozen. The hotel was so accommodating while we tried to sort out our situation and get back to Canada. We didn't have much cash on us and although we owed several dollars on phone calls we were given a substantial discount. You must like kids if you are going to this hotel and not be shy by the often language barriers if you do not speak spanish. But all the college graduates there on vacation were so nice and poliet it makes us as Canadians seem like retards. The rooms were always clean and gorgeous. The beds are a bit hard but that's because they don't use a box spring probably because it's so humid there that they wouldn't last long. The top matress was very comfortable and the rooms always kept so beautiful. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this hotel. I would go again and again and again. The food was great and the Margarita's fantastic. If you are a Picky person you shouldn't travel anywhere outside your home. Life is for living and experiencing each corner of the world. The hotel is just perfect unless you think you are the Queen of Sheba...and oh by the way the spa is far superior than any you would find in North America. It's Authentic and the service is fantastic. I had the Chocolate Cellulite treatment and my husband had a Pedicure and the attention and service made us feel like we were Royalty.
