Just got back today from Casa Mirador after 4 nights in the beautiful Sonido de las Olas room - steps from the ocean literally. This place was everything their website promised and everything tripadvisor evaluations told us prior. Quiet, safe, and the views are breathtaking. The owners Linda and Joe are very friendly and warm and make good breakfasts. Now, at $175 a night - remember you are really paying for the views- the rooms are very simple but clean. Cabs to town are $4 US-.. The water was pretty rough but very clean and there was a nice beach by casa mirador and by lindo mar next door. Just one more thing about the rooms- the terraces are 80% private in that other guests going to the lindo mar restaurant next door or down to the beach cut through your terrace- since it is the only way. We had massages by Marcella and wife had a facial- facial was just so so the massages were OK $40 US each but brochure promised 80 minute full body yet marcella did barely 60 minute massage.

The owners are tearing down Casa Mirador as of May 1st to build condo's in its place. We visited several great restaurants: Vista Grill, El Panorama, Barcelona Tapas, and Le Kliff- see our evaluations in the forum. We also took 1 trip with Vallarta Adventures to Yelapa/Majahuitas. PV is a wonderful place to visit- this was our first and we will be back- great people, great views, culture, etc. This is way better than cancun- here there is still authenti mexico- but to our suprise it is pricier than we expected for Mexico. Too bad Casa Mirador will not be around much longer- but we really enjoyed it and look forward to renting a condo here in the future. MUCHISIMOS GRACIAS!!!!

We just returned from a 7 day stay at Casa Mirador. I cannot say enough wonderful things to describe this place. We booked our reservations from reviews we read here at TripAdvisor. I was not prepared to be so pleasantly surprised. We stayed in Casa Conchita suite, which overlooked the Bay. We had our own private balcony, kitchen and a bathroom with a window that opened up to a fabulous out of the Bay. We went to bed each evening with the sound of the waves, and woke up each morning with beautiful sunrises. The Casa was very private, sparkling clean in every way.

We had breakfasts each morning prepared by Marcela that were wonderful. We got to sample different Mexican dishes We got to meet incredibly nice people from all over the US, and it was so much fun sharing information and stories with other great people.

Casa Mirador is located on the south side of Puerto Vallarta, which is just far enough away from town to be easily reachable, but quiet. We took the bus into town which we caught just across the street. The buses ran very frequently up until ll PM at night. We only took a taxi twice but it only cost $4.00 US to go into town.

We enjoyed walking on the Malecon at night. So must activity and different entertainment every night. The restaurants were fabulous and we did not have a bad meal the entire time. Our favorite places to go were Pipis (enormous margaritas), Barcelonas Tapas and we celebrated out llth anniversary at Vista Grill. It was fabulous - million dollar view, superb service, and the food was absolutely delicious.

I hated to leave this beautiful place, friendly people, safe environment, view beyond anything I have ever seen before.

We hope to return. Without question, we will go back to Casa Mirador. On a scale of 1 to 10, we would have to rate Casa Mirador a 20+.

Just got back from 5 days at Casa Mirador and loved every minute of it. The location is perfect - just outside of PV, but very easy to get to. We would go into town for lunch via the bus (stop's across the road), come back for a siesta and go back for dinner. The bus is $.50/person and a cab is $4.

Breakfast at Mirador was delicous and cooked by Marcela. She also gave us some very relaxing massages, with the sound of the ocean not far away, as well as booking our all-day excursion to Yelapa.

Overall, I'd highly recommend the Casa Mirador to anyone who's looking to get away from it all, but have all the modern convenience right there too.

My husband and I attended a wedding of close friends in October. We were refered here after their B&B was booked up. We absoluty loved it. Peaceful, relaxing and the perfect place to get away from it all. Yes, there are a lot of stairs but it was also great exercise! I have already recommended it to several friends and family!
