When we checked in the bathroom in our room was still dirty, there were coffee cup rings on the bathroom counter. The shower didn't drain properly, and of course, there was no bathtub. I asked for housekeeping, and the bathroom was given a quick swipe, not good enough.

Because of the plumbing problem, we asked to have our room changed, which they did the next day. We only had a window in the first room, the second room had a tiny balcony. However, there was an empty Corona bottle under our window the whole time we were there, it never got picked up.

The pool area was nice, but the grounds were dangerous for walking because of all the broken brickwork. There were cats on the grounds and I'm sure they use the beach for one big cat litter box, we could actually smell it in one area.

We went all-inclusive, but the staff didn't seem to hear you when you asked for a beer, or it took forever to get one. You have to sign for everything at this hotel when you are all-inclusive, and it's the same food day after day. We only saw one restaurant there, although I heard that there was a Japanese restaurant there as well. We didn't stay the resort very much, and we only ate breakfast there after the first day. So the all-inclusive really wasn't a good deal, because we ate out and had drinks somewhere else where we had to pay.

I'd go back to Puerto Vallarta in a heartbeat, but not to the Krystal.

We really loved the atmosphere of the Krystal.The first night our room was facing the busy dusty street and we were not satisfied, but the next day we were moved to a room overlooking the quiet pool area, and from then on we were so very pleased, what a difference your room can make. All the staff were very caring and friendly. We did not do inclusive, but opted to search on our own the food of the area. We did eat a few times on site and found the food to be very good. Loved the main pool area, clean and fun, also enjoyed the hot tubs, and pool area. Used the huts on the beach and found the vendors fine, if you said No they would leave you alone. Did the Para Sailing in front of the Krystal on the beach and definite recommend as they were helpful and they instructed you well. We totally enjoyed our time at the Krystal and we are definitely going back with our friends, and asking for the same room we had. We definitely loved the atmosphere here, rather than being in a high rise resort area. Loved Puerto Vallarta Mexico and will be back and staying at the Krystal. Their definitely was construction, but that is something that seems necessary to keep up with the times. Tours offered from MLT were great. Services for us the travelers were convenient and close to the Krystal and had fun doing our morning routine of market for rolls and starbucks for coffee, and then sitting on our balcony enjoying the beautiful weather of Mexico.

We paid extra for a villa. What a joke. The first night the sewer backed up into the bathtub.......They never cleaned our pool the whole time we were there...... We never had hot water in the sink. We reported this 2 times and it was never fixed. We did the All-inclusive. Big MISTAKE.. The drinks never had any alcohol. I drank 6 Pina Coladas and never felt a thing. Same with our friends and the Margaritas. I am NOT a drinker!!!!! The rooms look NOTHING like the pictures! Our friends stayed in the Tower and said it was the better place to stay! After staying 3 nights, we checked out! We went elsewhere for the last 5 nights of our stay.

We just got back from staying at the krystal last week. I thought that this hotel was very nice and I would stay there again. After reading some reviews I have to agree on some things. First, If you don't want to be bothered then the beach is not for you. The vendors are always there, they never leave you alone. But if you stay up by the pool you should be fine. Second, the beds are a little hard but nothing that should ruin your trip. We had a room with a balcony facing the lap pool and the room and view were very nice and quiet. The bellboys and staff was very nice. The only thing that I didn't like was after 6:00 if you wanted to get a drink and the little pool bar was full you had to sit at a table and wait for your waiter. YOu couldn't just go up to the bar and order. That got very annoying. Can't say enough about the bell boys. Always smiling and talking to the visitors. If you are going to order room service plan on waiting awhile we ordered coffee one morning and never did get it. Also lots of geckos, we had 2 in our room so don't be alarmed. Otherwise this was a wonderful trip and I would stay there again. We hope to be going back to puerto vallarta soon.
