We earned a free four-night stay at the hotel after attending a time share presentation last year and decided to use it during spring break. Was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews, but overall was pleased with our stay.
We were in the No.2 section. The staff was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. The food is good, it just doesn't change much from day to day, and is very Mexican, which I enjoyed. Breakfast is excellent. And when eating in town I suggest Roberto's in Old Town.
The dinner shows, hosted by the hotel a couple of times a week, are also entertaining.
On arrival at the airpiort, you'll be greeted by well-dressed men offering a free ride to your hotel. They actually want you to attend their time share presentation. Walk right past them to the TAXI stand sign and you can get a cab for $18 to downtown. If you want to save $10. Proceed outside and take the crosswalk over the street to the YELLOW cabs. They'll take you downtown for $8.
Another suggestion, bring misquito repellent and wear it every day.
