After a long and rather warm day of wandering the Malecon, we decided to swing into the Cheeky Monkey. Our decision to stop here instead of elsewhere was based on information I had read on Tripadvisor.com.

The staff was friendly and prompt, the view was great, the music was fun but not too loud for our mid-afternoon stop, the appetizers that we ordered were good, and our drinks were inexpensive and tasty.

Troy (Owner) You gotta just ask for him. Our experience with our group of ten was fantastic and Troy and his staff made it fantastic. The food - $1 drinks - Boardwalk action - Sunsets - staff - Incredible food. Our group for the week had each couple pick a spot for dinner and this place won hands down. If you don't go here for drinks and dinner you will have missed out. We picked this place twice because it was just that good.

We were unable to sample the restaurant but the Mexican Bar was so cute and the Nachos were some of the best we've eaten. We live in California so we know nachos!!! If we ever get back to PV that will be our first destination. Thank you, Troy, for such a wonderful addition to the enjoyment of our cruise.

A beautiful view overlooking the ocean from the 3rd floor, open air restaurant. Great music in the background, colorful decor, friendly staff and owner (Troy) and $1. drinks. The best deal in Puerto Villarta. We can not wait to get back!
