My wife and I spent a glorious week at Sueno Del Mar from 1/19/08-1/26/08. We had high expectations for this property after seeing the website and reading other reviews, but our expectations were blown away by this property. Harriet and Ron have the condo decorated superbly and it contains everything you could want. We have been to the Zihua area many times in the past, but staying in this condo made us feel like we were living in Zihau instead of just visiting.
We bought fresh oranges, chicken adobo and fresh tortillas at the mercado, picked up ingredients for guacamole and lunch at the Commercial Mexicana, and for a week, lived the dream.
We slept every evening with the windows open and were lulled to sleep by the sounds of the sea. The top notch bedding and furnishings made us feel like we were in our own place instead of a rental.
We had some great meals at Il Mare(2), Coconuts, La Gula and enjoyed breakfast 4 times at La Casa Cafe, and highly recommend them all. The pools and the grounds were meticulous, and the other guests and owners were wonderful.
We walked into town 5 of the days and wandered the wonderful streets of Zihua. If you are looking for unique, well priced jewelry, please check out Alberto's and ask for Luis. The jewelry was so beautiful that we purchased more than we had anticipated.
For outstanding weather, wonderful people and delicious food, Zihua cannot be beat. Treat yourself to a stay at Sueno Del Mar, and you will learn the true meaning of paradise.

What a relaxing and fun time. Between the exceptional condo, interesting town, and activity-filled beach, my two teenagers and I had a relaxing (truly) and playful time. Using the owner created "guide" to plan our forays in food and adventure, we were never disappointed. Zihuatanejo was safe, clean, and friendly. Language was rarely a problem. Cooking in the exceptionally outfitted kitchen was easy. Although it was hard to leave the beautifully decorated condo., we sailed, snorkeled, kayaked, jet skiied, and explored. If you are a nature person, make sure you check out the Zoe Kayak Adventures in the protected lagoon sanctuaries. The owner and guide, Brian, provides an amazing experience. I rather like the steep driveway, great offset to the volumes of food that are hard to resist.

And all this without a car. You will have a great time, Kris

I just had one of the best vacations ever.
Sueno Del Mar is all that Harriet said it would be and more. I wasn't sure at first booking a vacation off the web and trusting that it is what you hope it will be, but let me tell you this is.
The condo was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The management was excellent and the town itself was amazing. The people were all very friendly and actually spoke more english then I expected. We spent a couple days at the beach and a couple days just lounging up at the pool. Each day taking some time to go into town and shop or just walk around and talk with the locals.
I came back ready to return and have recommended this place to many people that I know. I am already trying to plan my next trip. You will have a wonderful time.

Recently my husband and I had the pleasure of spending three weeks at Sueno Del Mar in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. We stayed with another couple and we all enjoyed the beautifully decorated condo. Harriet, the owner, has written a comprehensive local guide and even though we have visited Zihua many times, there were many helpful suggestions in her notebook. The living room and master bedroom views are absolutely spectacular. The infinity pools are wonderful. Having a washer, dryer, and the internet were a plus. Yolanda, the maid, is very efficent and sweet. Vladimir, the security manager was very professional and personable. We hope to return next year to this lovely condo.
